No. Fans have a right to vent their frustration if the team play poorly, hence the booing in recent games as how else are the team going to know the fans are pissed off? A strongly worded letter? No one individual in recent memory has been booed while in a City shirt and the younger players like Dave, Robbo and Maguire get a lot more slack because of their age. It was a bollocks over-generalisation.

It depends how well we are playing. In this league the expectation is massive and rightly so given the quality and expense in there, after 15 minutes is a bit harsh but if we get to half time and you can't tell which team is the promotion chasing home side then of course you're going to get some murmurs of discontent, even some booing if the performance warrants it. What exactly should fans do? Cheer when we're playing way below what we're capable of? If we are playing well and losing to the likes of Arsenal or Man City then fair enough, but not when you're at home to MK Dons or Forest, the fans were rightly ****ed off. It's good that some people voice their concerns and don't just sit in a tiger striped bubble all the time. Football support isn't all sunshine and lollipops, sometimes our lads need a kick up the arse to let them know we aren't happy. If they're willing to accept awards and plaudits for playing well, they need to be able to take criticism when they perform below our (and their) expectations.
You supporters who actually go to watch the games are copping some flak of late. The atmosphere is bad because your not singing and shouting enough. The membership scheme is all down to those cheats who buy kids passes and not the adult one you should. Now we can't attract players because you might be critical of them. And just so no-one feels left out those of us who post negative things on a forum are just as guilty because the club, manager and players are aware of what is said about them and they get upset.
And of course, that calms their nerves, eliminates the small mistakes and the overhit passes, the flawed control and the misunderstandings. I'm surprised the canned sound of booing isn't used as a motivational halftime team talk device to lift players, and fine tune their performances. Can someone just draw up a quick list of the games when we've booed our own players and it's transformed their performance for the better? Thanks in advance,
So you're saying it's better to do nothing. So if it's all going to **** on the field and the lads are all over the shop, gently clap them off the field? That'll tell 'em. They aren't little girls who cry everytime they get a bit of flak, they thrive on atmosphere but they can't expect a rousing rendition of Elvis if they're struggling to beat teams in their first Championship season. If our fans our pissed off then it's their fault, they know that and have said in post match interviews that it lets them know they need to improve. Robertson alluded to it.
