Honestly, I hate the ****er, so it's hard for me to be objective. I remember 11/12, thought he was **** then as well. Was he on penalties? Not sure how many of those goals came from open play. In any event, I don't think his presence would be received well by the players. To me, that danger alone screams leave him alone.
Not for me. That bloke`s trouble. He was in bother when he was here last time and he`s slung out of his current club for disciplinary reasons. We`ve got enough daft buggers who can`t behave themselves. We`ve had enough bad publicity recently. We don`t need any more.
Somebody is having an April Fool moment with you guys. Big Sam would stand a better chance of scoring up front than Bendtner - his career is well and truly over with 3 goals from his past 40 games. Not even a shadow of the shadow of a player he was.
Only if you're daft enough to judge a back to goal striker on goals Tiger. We don't need a goal scorer we've got one, a couple if Borini got a run upfront. It's someone to hold the ball up, which we have N'Doye atm. My concern is sitting deep is sending us down no doubt about it. The points we've dropped from being pegged back runs into double figures. We can't not sit deep as we can't retain the ball further up the pitch. So long as Defoe plays the loan striker, I can't see us staying up because our defence isn't good enough to withstand playing a tiny lone frontman. Ok no body is Keen on Bendtner. Hang on, I'll start a thread.
I understand what you are saying Bri but I am one of those 'old school' supporters who does not like "possession football" and so-called "hold-up" players (which to me is a load of bullshit). I like 'strikers' who put the ball in the back of the net and we haven't had one for a while. I believe the last 'combo' we had up front goes back to Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips (what a wonderful understanding those two had) and this 'lone striker' is also a load of cr@p too as he has to have pace, first touch, find the empty space, good heading ability and a shot in either foot and, imo, we have nobody remotely resembling that sort of player. Team work is what we need now and we have games ahead of us where we can get the points required and I also believe we do have the players capable of working together. Bendtner? Might as well play me and I'm 77, got a crook back and a heart complaint. I can agree with what you are saying regarding our defence and lost points but I believe we can tighten up in that department before it's too late. I hope so.
It's what we need. We can't play football in the past. It's doesn't work against today's tactics and our lack of clean sheets show even with Kone and Kirchoff protecting it's just not good enough to withstand defending deep for long spells. Someone further up the pitch needs to take the pressure of them imo. I still think N'Doye can do a job but he's already been written of a winger and nobody seem interested in giving the lad a shot in his own position.
