I presume it'll be on the ITV player thingy. My Dad told me a story this week he'd never told me before. He said that while on holiday in Torquay as a 15 year old he went to swan out to a buoy when a blue shark (about 1.5m) swam passed him. He turns and swam back and said he then saw it swim across some steps that were under water, where he had got out the water.
Neither blue sharks or porbeagles will prey on humans. Not ever. And the really big ones, basking sharks, only eat plankton. Scary though, admittedly!
I remember as a kid seeing Basking Sharks from he beach at Sennon Cove in Cornwall, as you said, scary beasts

Not sure how many ways up there are but the way we saw had signs at the bottom of the track warning of the dangers and the fact that it's 10 degrees colder up the top, so she decides to go up in shorts. There have only recently been 2 fatalities of experienced well equipped climbers up there.
I can vouch for the temperature drop: I went up on a blazing hot August day when I was 11, dressed in shorts, T-shirt, and sandals . Freezing at the top, but the views were staggering. You could see as far as the North Sea one way and the Atlantic the other!
Nah not scary, stop propagating the myth! Sharks are gorgeous, beautiful creatures. I used to love seeing them when I was out diving in Fiji and the Philippines. Tiger sharks, yeah okay, I'll give you that. And getting confronted by a big shark during a night dive, okay, yeah that too. But as a general rule, no. Incredible creatures.
Oh I am a fan LTL. My bucket list includes shark swimming. My favourite, number one creature, above all others is a Whale Shark. Ps. you lucky bugger.
Haha, not lucky, it was my job! Never did get to see a whale shark though, much to my annoyance. Belize is a good place to go for them.
Interesting move... what do people think of this? The Times are giving up on 'breaking news' due to the advent of Twitter and the prominence of the BBC. Instead, they're going to keep their online paywall and continue to produce and publish exclusive interviews and provide cutting-edge opinion and analysis, in pretty much their own words. In the Philippines it was surveying the coral reefs just outside of Palawan for the government. In Fiji I was working at a dive school.
