When it comes to Charlton, how do you see yourself?

Me, when I was young I used to be a fan (my dad was Arsenal) I followed the team by the Saturday evening edition of the Evening Standard .... then when my bro was old enough to drive I became a supporter by attending games, buying a programme etc.... then a few years ago I became (for a very short period) a customer! ..... now???? ..... well I'm not sure? ..... perhaps a potential criminal?

So how do you see yourself?

    <cheers>

None of the above. I am Charlton.

    I don't think that's weird.

I get up at 5am Monday to Friday to go to work for two reasons in life. To fund Charlton and support my wife.

These b******** are not going to diminish my love of the club.

    An obsessive <cheers>

I love the Club, its history and its stadium in the same way as I would a long time family pet.

Synthetic fans or plastics could never understand it.

Just a massive shame that family pet is on its death bed.

I'm a fan. I'm too far away to be a supporter, but I obsess about the club, worry about how badly it's being run and dream of a sensible owner with a practical scheme to run the club properly. I had a budgie called Clive Mendonca, and if I ever end up owning a rat, it will live out it's existance being called Roland Duchatalet and putting up with abuse from an English guy putting on a fake Belgian accent.

Had to be fan rather than supporter since I stopped spending any money on all things Roland.

I tend to agree with you here. I can't label myself with any of the above confidently.

I feel like a customer, but resent that.

i'm a supporter in that i want the team to do well. cant say i'm a fan as i dont have the time or money to go to away games.

next year, i'll be nothing as i wont be buying a season ticket, a step up from this year where i refused to hand over any money for food, drinks or programs.

I understand it's a bit silly, but as I've been in NZ for the majority of this season I've just missed being at games

I've got some holidays lined up next season, but I'll probably renew, only because £330 is really not that much money anyway. Even if I miss 6-7 games (judging by this season), it's not like I'm going to be that bothered. If I miss more, next season, and we still have these jokers ****ing up the house then it's probably then that I'll reconsider.

Hopefully Cray Wanderers would have built their new stadium by then.
