No probs.... If Kim the wallie can get £110 for not shaving you should make more than £150 from us for a proper cause doing something challenging.

Get a good start and when you get your second wind try to stay with every person who passes you for a bit .
Try one with a back pack and carrying a rifle , almost quit several times in an army completion . The trick is no matter how bad it seems , don't let your thoughts let you quit ....good luck

Growing a mo IS challenging for young lads like Kimbo. You should have tried it at his age. I reckon you'd look like a peach. :emoticon-0115-inlov

Finally set up a just giving page for any peeps that are able to spare a £ or 2 for this worthy cause... (Martin House Childrens Hospice)

    https://www.justgiving.com/Russell-Missett1

It needs a bit of tidying up which i'll do later when my boss isn't looking over my shoulder <yikes>

    Alternatively, you can text donate...
    Please text "RCDM71 £100000" to 70070 ... Just replace the £100000 with a suitable figure :)

I know its a bit cheeky as in some cases we don't know or barely know each other, but I have put in mountains of training and it is for a good cause, so any donations would be gratefully received, £1, £2 anything at all that could be spared.

    Thanks very muchly.

He is obviously too nice a bloke to say this, which is probably why he is doing the sponsored marathon in the first place. 72 ****ing different visits to the stickied donation page and only four feckers have tipped in. One brilliantly!

A process of elimination points to the four....
When are you 50 tight feckers putting a couple of quid in?

    Hey'up RCDM,

Good luck with the marathon mucker........:emoticon-0148-yes:

There are 3 good sources of carbohydrates (energy), which you may be aware of already.

    Pasta......Oats and Wheat etc......Banana

Try a decent size spaghetti Bolognese the night before, around 6pm, and no sex.

Have raw muesli (not toasted) or Weetabix with some banana for breakfast, or a combination of all three,

If you have someone waiting around the halfway mark (or third and 2 thirds marker) get them to pass you some fluids and half a banana to replenish your carbs, fluids (electrolytes etc) are also very important as you lose most through sweat.

Set your goal to finish, and not to win or finish in front of others, don't get caught into racing against others, if they want to go faster, let them go.

Set your visible markers as you're running, these are markers you can visibly see in front of you, the distance between each marker will vary, but make it a goal to reach each of those markers, then set your next marker and so on.

From what I've read the final third of the marathon is going to be your no mans land, the distance you haven't run before.

The final third of the marathon will come down to a psychological battle between your brain and your mind. The brain is going to want the body to stop, or stop and rest, your mind is going to be concentrating on your goal, make yourself listen to your mind; this is where it becomes mind over matter so to speak.

No matter how much you want to stop, there's always a reserve of energy that keeps you going, and helps push you through the brain and mind psychological battle.

Get your missus to promise you an extra special sex session if you complete the course (next day would be ideal)

    Good luck pal....:emoticon-0148-yes:
