Scrambled eggs mixed with grated cheese and onion all cooked in a frying pan together.. With some sweet chili sauce to finish off..
A delicatessen ? shop in Fulwell road, I forgot the name, a smashing woman who I think owns the shop, does everything you want, so half a pound of peas pudding, half a pound of savoury pudding, 6 slices of ham and 6 slices of beef, big buns take them home, 2 slices of ham on peas pudding, 2 slices of beef on savoury per sandwich, make onion hot gravy for dip, pour on top of sandwich, put top bun on and hey presto a fantastic sandwich, or go to Whitey's market butchers and buy them there. In tommorow's cookery class I will teach you how to make a superb, chicken chassues, served with a 1965 crème de momf slightly chilled hehe.
Nooo...You don't scramble an omelette...An omelette is flat and finished off under a grill for optimum taste..
I had this discussion recently: does sliced, boiled egg belong in sandwich salad? I vote yes but took some convincing. goes great with ham sarnies. i like coronation chicken with salad. I always have at least lettuce in my sarnies now. I don't normally eat anything 'healthy' but I like the texture change a bit of green can bring. used to make some ridiculous sandwiches in my youth. every time me ma got in from shopping i'd try and pack as much stuff between slices of bread as i could (i recall one containing both chutney and nutella, no doubt other things too). i'm much more reserved now thankfully. Fav sarnies have to be Fish Fingers, with mayo, cheese, crushed garlic or english mustard, and salad. mmmm. wish i hadn't skipped lunch now.
You should try it mate...The omelette rises in the same way as a Yorkshire pudding and can be cut into slices like a cake...Lovely..
When I was single dad I used to make the lads triple sandwiches! Haven't made them since. Heading into the kitchen soon as I get home! Strapped up in traction at the minute and talking about food! Torture!!!
