to be fair plenty of other teams have had an injury crisis this season - i.e. Bournemouth at the start of the season lost all their key players but still managed to turn it around. We can't blame it on injuries if we go down, the simple fact is this season we've been a bunch of gutless wasters managed by an inept clown. Maybe Rafa could have kept us up with Elliott still fit, but it was a big ask. With Elliott injury we need a miracle, but never say never. I assume there's no chance of emergency loan happen, so looks like we gotta stick we've what we've got. Darlow showed some good shot stopping vs West Brom, but his kicking and command of his area was absolutely woeful....and this is from someone who's hardly a novice and has had significant first team exposure at Forest. Woodman has been the England youth regular for a while, and is getting rave reviews so far, he's gotta be the preference despite his age and lack of experience...might be similar to Krul vs Palermo hopefully.
I reckon Darlow will come in and play a blinder. He's an experienced 'keeper and made 131 senior appearances to date. Probably a bit nervous/rusty when he played against WBA and to be honest there were some good saves in there. We need to keep an open mind here and not be writing him off after the 2 appearances he's made for us to date.
Agree. He is the best bet at this point. He has at the minimum had quite a bit of first team experience. As I mentioned maybe just maybe this further set back will help galvanize the team as a whole.
I hope the decision for who's in goal is based on positioning, shot stopping, handling and the confidence to command the box as opposed to just age/experience.
