Gotta do something if not work. Might as well trawl through my collection and rattle them off.
Happy memories of being a student or working part time leaving plenty of day to sit and binge watch TV shows. Ahh.

Homeland is Brilliant - but you needed to have watched it from the 1st episode. I would agree though that its an aquired taste.

But Dr Who is **** - dunno what everyone gets so worked up about it for.

Seeing a few people of the opinion that Game of Thrones is overrated, just out of curiosity for what reason(s)?

For me, the storytelling is trite and predictable. Sex and violence, wash and repeat (must admit tho, some of the sex is quite good). I am actually a fan of fantasy epics, like Tolkien, but just find it hard to take the characters and the story seriously. Admittedly, there are some great sequences, particularly some of the battles, but just not enough for me to fill the storytelling void. Lots of main characters, many very alike, most predictable. Having said all this, l do admit to watching. Khaleesi (sp?) is worth the price of admission alone. Some subplots are interesting, but hard to take on the whole. Btw, I'm a crap critic, so have a go.

Doctor Who is superb, whatever you & Comm say! I can remember a story from when I was 4 years old (and I'm now 53), I was fascinated by the series then and I am now.

It takes a bit of stick for being nothing more than sex and violence but I think it's a lot more than that. I think there's a lot of subtlety and depth to the characters and themes that doesn't get credit because it's more eye catching when a horse gets beheaded.

Personally I find the storytelling to be quite unpredictable. Main characters can get killed out of the blue and I rarely feel I know what's going to happen next. It can get pretty dark with no obvious foreshadowing and I like that.

As for Kaleesi (no idea how to spell it either), fantastic chebs and bum. Shame she doesn't want to get them out anymore, nude Kaleesi was one of the cornerstones of the show for me. Even my wife has a crush on her.

I think Game of Thrones, and the Song of Ice And Fire books series that it is based on, are brilliant..Best thing on TV for years, and I can't wait for the new series..

Same here, one of the best tv shows I've seen and easily the best in its genre. Nothing even close.

I'd say if anything it's underrated because a lot of casual viewers just know it as tits and violence and it's got a bit of a rep for it, but there's actually a tonne of complexity to it all if you want to find it.

I'm gonna throw back to a long time ago when I was a youngun. The Professionals, the Likely Lads, Auf Weidersein Pet, Porridge are just some of my favourites. I'm not even gonna go down the list of the worst, way too many to type out.
