Starship troopers is a classic. It reminds me of robocop1 in terms of reporters etc which is great but it's just a classic movie.
Problem... hate will ferrel mostly. Rush hour movies are great. Shaw shank is a total classic again American ending. . They didn't need to end on beach, could have ended with Freeman on the bus... left their meeting open. Another classic is seven....
Ive a funny story about the first time i watched that, i took LSD with a group of mates over a few days in my teens and somehow we ended up watching that film for the 1st time, ironically whilst being completely off the planet ourselves at the time, long story short, the part when Denise Richards tells Jonny they are breaking up and shoots off in that lightspeed train thing to go be a fleet pilot and hes just left with his hand on the glass, i had like a mini break down of some kind, there were tears and some blubbering and im not sure if it was because i was sweet on her at the time, or because it was so abrupt and quite brutal but **** me that **** hit my soul nothing to do with the trips btw mito.
Jonny Rico actor was terrible. If you put a class actor in that movie at the time it would have been a total classic. Another modern classic is the mummy. The follow ups were getting worse and worse but the first was a classic.
you nutter, now that's shotaway! The first time I ever smoked a joint was after a late night finish in my part-time job in a pizza take-away while at Uni. I was renting a house and my workmates came over after we'd finished a midnight shift and we put on Naked Gun. It was the first time I seen that film AND the first time I got stoned. Suffice to say I was on the floor in tears throughout. Never laughed so much in my life and still can't watch that film without being in hysterics.
Yeh I'd agree about Rico, but at the same time it did give it a cult status, the cheesy lead actor only added to that.
When he says "You want to live forever?!" after taking charge is such cringe, but brilliant it's that cheesy.
Ha i can imagine that was hilarious, some films you just watch at the right time and stay with you, a great example is this clip (i hate adam sandler but admittedly like some of his films, this is not one i like, but this part here actually puts me in tears) i think i had a ****e day at work and hated my boss but anyway.
Yeh There's far too much in that film to quote but these 4 mins are Leslie Neilson's finest work imo. From 3:20 onwards has me in hysterics everytime
