All of Europe should be English.... There is no real high level connection between Britain and the mainland . How does Denmark end up with Greenland ?
If you change that to British, I'm with you on that and maybe change Europe to the world, apart from the **** countries
That was tried before and worked for a bit but now all it brings is grief though you got a wife out of it!
I'm not sure I like you laughing at such a blatantly racist comment. Jip, please ban that fenian ****
There is an Island in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River in Canada called Saint Pierre and Miquelon that belongs to France . If I remember correctly they went to the world court to get a 200 mile sea border and the world court took the width of the Island and gave them 200 miles in one direction South , for the whole length of the Island .Thats what I like about the French .........................nothing .Edit , the Island is off the Southern coast of Newfoundland
There are lots of examples of countries who own territories which are nowhere near them, Spain, Portugal, France, Argentina to name but a few.
No probs with that if they are in the middle of nowhere , Just over 500 years ago people thought if they sailed to far they would fall off the earth . When your Englands and Frances took over the " New World " , and then lost it to individual countries over the long haul , they held onto the " Islands " just off those countries and shouldn't have been allowed to IMO . Any Island in this situation should be given back IMO .
So do the wishes of the people living in those places count for nothing, in your opinion? And when can the USA expect to take up ownership of Cuba?
The thing is though there is no one to give the Falklands "back to". It belongs to the people who live there, not some randoms from corned beef land who like the look of it.
Olga... After 42 seasons of roofing and 100 seasons of various sports and many injuries catching up with me , my doc put the kabash on my career as a roofer ...and an athlete.
This is twice in the last month I have agreed with you the Falklands were never the Argies' in the first place
