Airline and Egyptian government sources are quoted as saying that the domestic flight travelling from Alexandria to Cairo was taken over by at least one armed hijacker. They asked for the flight to land in Cyprus, an EgyptAir spokeswoman is quoted as saying. The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation reports that 55 people are on board. There were earlier reports of more than 80 people on board

Morning Eire, I very much doubt Sniffer is a dual account. Anyways, on to Cook. He is clearly our best player. If Cellino is willing to dig deeeeeep in his pockets, then obviously keep the lad. As I see it, we are 5 players short of mounting a challenge. Keeper great. Wing backs great. Nothing wrong with Cook, Dallas, Bridcutt, Dave and Wood. We need to build around these players. Then we have the back up of Coyle, Mowatt, Murphy, Ant or Douk
Morning all... If we were to spend £10m on the squad it wouldn't be so bad... We all; felt, agreed and were joyous over the fee received for Ross, little did we know the funds were going to be used to balance the books. Gordon does state what we already know and it just shows/proves what others can see too. These sort of comments keep on getting echoed around, will it be any wonder that we can't attract players to a team others see as non ambitious, a selling club going nowhere?
Gordon McQueen was once my favourite player and I was devastated when he and Jordan fcuked off so now there is nobody who's opinion I would rather hear less than his (not that it is so much an opinion as an echo). If / when somebody gets it right and we have our next resurgence (fingers crossed) will be the time that we have to fight tooth and nail to keep hold of our Batty's and Speeds or reinvest properly if we do have to sell. I personally think we are too far away from a real shot at the top 2 that we would be foolish not to sell Cook if that sort of money really is on offer. No matter how good he is, for the difference he can make, especially if like Byram he refuses to sign a new contract, £10m reinvested in the likes of Dave and Bridcutt for example will give us a shot at the top six and a better team for the next Cook / Coyle etc to come into
Morning all. The problem for supporters is that we see Leeds United as a football club but the shysters running the club for the last decade see it as a self financing cash cow. The strange thing is if the club had been run as a football club properly managed and financed with the Leeds fan base the money would surely have followed.
