0-0 at half time. Chances for both sides and not a bad game for a friendly. Good effort by Bothroyd after looking fast to get the shot in and a fantastic effort from the one and only Adel. Just over the bar with the keeper no-where!!
Be good to see Dyer 2nd half.

    Half time assessment:

QPR being a bit impatient. Taarabt is coming back to try and get the ball but he needs to stay up the wing. In my opinion, they need to get the ball to Smith because he's had the better forward play. Bothroyd has also been good. So get the ball to him.
Gabbidon has been good. The trialist at CB has been ****e.

Cesena have been putting a lot of men in their own area and building up play from there, which is working well for them because they can build up slowly but also put a lot of pressure on us every time we get the ball.

We need to improve our possession play a bit more but it's hard with their pressure. They look a bit rusty but that's what I expected anyway.

    0-0 HT. Thoughts anyone?

Bothroyd looked quality, great save by their keep + shouldve had pen. Hold up play looks class.
Tarbs hit and miss. 2 good runs and strikes on goal but looks a bit overweight?
Gabbidon looks good, bit of pace, having to make up for perone next to him who imo looks out of depth.

All in all pretty good, Cesena look good tho, and the boy Mutu still a class act.

Not bad for a friendly and considering the slippery ground. Not many chances being created - like the new away kit though.

Pretty much nail on the head. Impressed with Gabbidon. He looks comfortable.

Well I still say we're playing pretty well against what looks like a good team. Tarrabt is obviously a couple of weeks behind the rest in terms of fitness. Would expect him to come off now, maybe for Dyer?
Bothroy looks good and I think Gabbidon looks ok too. Agree that Perone looks pretty bad!!
Don't think Adel was playing on the wing. I think we are playing him in the centre of the 3 behind Bothroyd, with Hogan on the left and Smith, who looks lively, on the right. Adel is simply drifting out to the left like he always does.
I think this is a good test for us and we're doing ok imo.

Strangely, he was decent at the beginning and had a good run near the end of the half but yes... he's been a bit out of the game.

Ah, so that's Perone. Doesn't look good so far.

Bruno Perone is the triallist. I'm just trying to picture this defence Vs ManU or Arsenal atm..it's not a pleasant image. We looked good first 20, then after they had a few chances, got flustered and lost our shape. Bothroyd is looking good!
I suppose it's ony pre-season, plenty of tiem to iron things out : ]

Has gabbidon been impressive? Done the basics well i suppose, he's muffed a few long balls though. Looks about as good as a gorkks or connolly so far.
Agreed on ephraim. He sometimes looks like he's not on the same wavelength as everyone else, doens't link up well.
Works very hard and tracks back though, has his moments. Patchy!

Hall has been really good, so far. I really do think he is a good player but went through a bad patch at some point, which no one seems to have forgiven him for, and went through injury problems. Last season he was good for us, when available.

Agreed. Gabbidon looks good!! A real plus that. Good run by Dyer too. He looked quite quick still!
