Are you sure they weren't applauding his leaving , Newcastle fans were on his back constantly at the end ....pretty sh:tty fans in general ... Don't take it personally though ...lol
Sorry for intruding mate. You know me, don't normally say anything to anyone, unless it's a Sunday night after I've been out. Wouldn't say boo to a goose normally. Not frightened to do it, just think it's largely pointless. I just hope I haven't upset Whitey. He's my favourite red and white.
You're not mate. You're always welcome round here, by most of us anyway I think I just found it funny. You fire away. Roofer gives as good as he gets, so he'll be along shortly after, no doubt
Yet we're both a million miles bigger than your **** sheep shagging club. Granted you're above us both and you're team is better atm. In terms of stadia, history & fanbase your club isn't fit to fasten our shoe laces. You'll be back where you belong before soon.
A bit rich considering both of your teams might be playing League games against Burton come August ......lol
A point I've always maintained. It's a bit misguided imo and puts a lot of pressure on your team to perform way above their capabilities. But I agree, You do have higher expectations, it's based on a good squad nearly two decades ago i reckon, a squad you've not come remotely close to matching. Fact is both set of fans have a knack of doing more damage than good. If things go right both fans a are up there with the best in the world for getting behind our teams. But your expectations and off the hip protesting and our strange habit of booing and groaning every stray pass really puts a thorn in our own team's side on many an occasion. Great fan base, both of us, but we're both very prone to not helping matters.
Agree almost word for word. It's only because we care too much. Other fans think they're superior because they don't get on their players backs. But going to the football is a hobby for them, it's a way of life for us. It matters more. I will say, especially since this conversation is about Sam Allardyce, at the time we were well used to being in the top 7, in Europe most years, playing decent football. It's no surprise that we didn't get on board with Sam's mid-table, percentage football philosophy. Maybe it's been a bit different in the past decade but we've still had our brief moments, European quarter finals etc. At the end of the day, we should both be far higher than we are and it frustrates me that tin pot clubs like Swansea can get their strategy so right while we flounder.
Agreed. We bring out the very best and very worst in a football supporter, but like you said, it's not a hobby to us it's life and we carry the same rollercoaster emotions with it. How are you fella? Good to have you back 'arch nemesis'.
I'm really good mate. I'm trying to pick and choose my threads carefully so I don't wind too many people up I considered coming back quite a while ago actually but that Adam Johnson thread and some of the comments made on it really put me off. Decided to wait until the majority of that had blown over. By the way, we agree on very little. Almost nothing, in fact. But I thoroughly enjoy our interactions and consider you among one of the best posters on the board.
Like I said to Tel, you're a good poster and your treatment was disgusting. Good to have you back fella.
