Already knew that Japan had strict laws about Islam.

Something i never knew is that Angola is/was the first country to ban Islam.

Will more countries follow suit or will it take the voice and power of the people to act for themselves i.e destroying mosques?

It's a huge problem at the minute but that's a very slippery slope you're starting on. Who gets to decide what should be banned and what shouldn't? What about if someone decides we should ban football because of all the violence it causes? Non-starter and totally undemocratic for me.

I'm with Cardew on this one..What we have got to aim for is to stop people being forced to follow a religious belief either by brainwashing or force, which in my opinions are the only things that keep religion alive as they do not stand up to any scientific scrutiny.
How this can ever be achieved is another matter..

Religion's been around since the Stone Age. It's not going away anytime soon.

I haven't got the time of day for religion, but when some of the smartest people on the planet can still reconcile their own faith with logic, reason and plain old common sense, how on earth can we put an end to the brainwashing of the masses?

The difference in deaths linked to football and deaths linked to Islam are not even comparable.

I'm a Christian but have never abandoned science, common sense or logic. One of the biggest reasons a lot of my fellow Christian's give for being happy to have faith is that even scientists haven't provided a satisfactory alternative for how we cam to exist yet. Something out of nothing. The universe is just too big and complicated for our tiny human brains to understand. No theory is any more crazy than any other theory and that's why I laugh when atheists make condescending remarks about people of faith being gullible. The atheist explanation for the universe is just as outrageous as the theist one!

So you choose to ignore violence, and you have made the decision that the only thing we are going to take into account is death toll? This post proves my point about how undemocratic this idea is, it's impossible to draw the line.

The concept of the creationist theory, which is at the heart of the Jewish, Islamic and Christian faiths have been blown away by science..

Ok. The difference in violence linked to football and violence linked to Islam is not even comparable.

    Better?

Science hasn't proved that God doesn't exist though. I'm not sure how it could. There will always therefore be a place for Faith.

Donald Trump has said UK and Europe is unsafe.

Maybe he has a plan to terminate all the nutters there.

This is true. As an Agnostic I question there being an interventionist god. But we were created by something. Suppose it depends on how one defines a god. Never understood blind faith though.

Not at all, there are a significant number of scientists and evolutionists who believe in some sort of creator intelligence. A satisfactory alternative for the beginning of time has not yet been offered.

Why is any amount of violence acceptable? How many people have died because of Islam in the UK? Of course the two are comparable, because I'm asking where you draw the line between what is acceptable, and what is so unacceptable that you propose dictatorially banning it completely?

There's a difference between those who have become known as "creationists" and people who believe in a creator.
