    Good Morning Everyone,

David Haigh should be back safely in the UK in the next 24 hours (phhewwwww)

Interestingly enough, his arrest, and consequent incarceration for fraud and embezzlement had nothing to do with activities at Leeds United.

Surely, we must be looking forward for him to dish the dirt of GFH?

    Thoughts?

Eddie Gray was on the Antique Roadshow yesterday to present the show`s most valuable item in the 38-year history of the programme.

Gray along with Gabby Logan, daughter of former Leeds favourite Terry Yorath, reportedly take along a replica of the original FA Cup from 1871.

The trophy, believed to belong to Leeds United was presented to the club when they won the centenary final in 1972 with a 1-0 win over Arsenal at Wembley thanks to a goal from Allan Clarke. The programme was filmed in Harrogate`s Royal Hall last summer.

Noel Whelan has claimed the Leeds players are “soft” as he identified their main failing in a rollercoaster season.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “As it stands, there have been some very good performances but there have also been some shocking ones and Huddersfield is up there with them.

“It’s the mental toughness that I question about a lot of the players when things aren’t going right and people aren’t playing well. How do you get something out of the game?

“At the moment I think we are a little bit soft mentally when it comes to seeing out games and riding a bad period of a game and going a goal behind.”

It has been reported that there was a dressing room mutiny in the wake of the defeat to Huddersfield, with the players said to have made it clear to owner Massimo Cellino that they were unhappy to be playing under Evans.

“There’s always going to be players that don’t get on with a manager,” Whelan observed. “That is just the way it is. A manager is always going to prefer some players to others and that’s not just Steve Evans, that’s every manager.

“Look at Christian Benteke, not in Jurgen Klopp’s eyes, but in many manager’s eyes he would be the first choice on their team sheet. It just goes to show that not every player gets on with managers. But what players have got to do is they have got an obligation, with their contract, to the fans and to themselves, to go out there and put in a performance.

“Whether you like the manager or not, it makes no odds. If you are chosen to play a game, you go out there, you earn your money, you do the fans proud, you do your club proud.

“At the moment I feel that a lot of people are not playing for that. They are just coasting through until the end of the season when they are getting paid a lot of money here.

“All they want to see is 100 per cent effort from players and giving it a bit of a go, not a mental collapse which is what we are getting at the moment

Eddie and the FA cup were on last nights antiques roadshow. It was valued at over £1mill.

Good news it does not belong to LUFC, it lives at Wembley... At least Cellino can't steal/sell it. The reason it appeared on Harrogates roadshow is it was made by local jewellers... Fatorinis.

Imagine the rarity of a former Millwall player taking a medal of any description to the antiques roadshow.

What's taking Haigh so long to get home Elland? I'd have thought he'd have been grabbing the first flight out of that place

I thought you made up the Dockers Cup <laugh>

    Read this...

Millwall FC are delighted to confirm that this season's Dockers' Day will be on Saturday 7th March, the day The Lions host Norwich City.

Dockers' Day has been held for the past eight years and this season will welcome the FA Youth Cup winning side of 1979 which included the likes of Dave Mehmet, Kevin O'Callaghan, Peter Gleasure, Tony Kinsella, Chris Dibble and Phil Coleman.

"This is a great day that both celebrates and acknowledges the club's rich history," said Chris Bethell, a pivotal figure in organising the event.
"Twenty dockers will be invited to enjoy the day and there will be a presentation to them on the pitch. If you know, or have a relative who worked on the Docks, please write in to the club or leave contact details in main reception.

    Funniest thing I've read.

They have a national Dockers Day

Think he made a lot of good friends inside, and wants to thank them all personally.

Q: If you see a Millwall fan on a bike, why should you not swerve to hit him?
A: It could be your bike.

Q: what is the difference between a dead dog in the road and a dead Millwall fan?
A: Skid marks in front of the dog.

Q: What do you call a Millwall fan with no arms and legs?
    A: Trustworthy.

I read somewhere that one of our new signings had a Mons Medal. Can't vouch for the veracity, but, hey, who knows.
