Quote from Dutch manager, Danny Blind on Janmaat...

Blind: “He wanted to be here as he was dying to be in the spotlight to attract another club in case Newcastle are actually relegated” #nufc

Looks like he is a certain departure when we drop then.

Even if we stay up, if this is the truth then he can go! He is part of the problem

Another one of the "I think I'm better than I actually am" brigade...along with Sissoko.!! Both of them can **** off regardless of whether we stay up or not ! Don't need a dressing room with twats like that in it !

This is all normal for me. If clubs drop out of the PL and they have internationals on their books, they look to protect their careers. They and their agents will have been long since in discussions with international managers who will have told them in no uncertain terms, playing outside of a top league is a no no. I'm not sure its worth getting knickers in a twist about or thinking it somehow signifies their loyalty. They are all the same.

Sissoko, Janmaat, Gini, Shelvey, Townsend, Tiote will all want out. Krul might too this time. These guys whether deserving or not have genuine international aspirations.

Last time we had guys who seemed to have a genuine affection for the club in the likes of Harper, Krul, Nolan, Colo, Raylor, Saylor, Smith, Barton, Carroll, Willo, Jonas, Lovenkrands - they seemed to all want the best for the club. Many of those could have agitated their way to a better club in this or another country's top league, but they chose to right the wrong.

Perez, Mitrovic, Mbemba, Saivet, De Jong, Cisse, Colo, Saylor, Dummett, Haidara, Elliot, Colback, Darlow, Lascelles, Aarons, Anita, Obertan, Riviere, Gouffran - a good selection of these will probably remain as they are either fringe internationals, or playing for nations where they will still get picked etc etc. Of course some contracts are up, some will be offered moves difficult to reject (Perez, Mitrovic, Mbemba, Aarons) and some may think "I've had my fill of this disaster"

Does he not see we're in this mess because they (the players) all have under performed. He is one of the under-performing players!! Rather than sitting round blaming each other and looking for ways out, maybe they need to address their own issues
Across the entire season I'd say that there's only Elliot that has performed to a consistant and decent level.

And who of us here would have thought that at the start of the season! I would add Mbemba to that consistent mold. Yes he's made a few mistakes but he has performed at a 7/10 level in most games.

Other than the Geordie players in the squad, who do you think really cares about Newcastle United?

It's very naive to think that players think of anything but themselves.

This is the same at all Premier League clubs.

Do you think that Gerrard & Lampard give a shiite about the American franchise/ clubs they play for?

Janmaat is a decent full back and I could see him playing for Manchester United (Van Gaal) but he is far too attacking-minded to be at this club just now.
He needs to be banned from crossing the half-way line! :)

He certainly needs to learn how to cross a ball.

And stop crosses, mark properly on set-pieces/crosses, and defend in general.

He's mediocre at best and I won't be sad to see him go.

I absolutely despise players who have no heart for Newcastle United.

I support the badge on the shirt, not the player who's wearing it. <ok>

It's why I'm willing to be patient with Mitro. Apart from obvious potential he would run through walls for the club.

It is a rareity in the modern game to see players actually genuinely give a ****.
