Emmanuel Eboue made his return from injury today as Sunderland suffered a 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough in a derby 'friendly'.Eboue - who penned a short-term contract at Sunderland earlier this month - has missed the last fortnight of training after picking up a hamstring problem. But the ex-Arsenal defender was part of a relatively strong Sunderland line-up at the Stadium of Light, as Sam Allardyce's men faced neighbours Boro in a behind-closed-doors encounter. With Sunderland not in top flight action again until the visit of West Brom on Saturday week, Allardyce was eager to give some of his fringe players an opportunity to stay match-sharp. The likes of Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole, Billy Jones and Jeremain Lens - just back from injury - all featured for Sunderland, while strikers David Nugent and Jordan Rhodes were involved for Boro. But it was the Teessiders who finished on top in a 2-1 victory, with N'Doye netting the goal for Sunderland. Sunderland XI: Harper, Eboue, Jones, Beadling, T Robson, Kirchhoff, Cattermole, Toivonen, Honeyman, Lens, N'Doye.
Our reserves against a virtual 1st team - not a bad result imo - a non game for training - no problems

Still a lot of empty seats like? Never caught on to this loyalty stuff for your team have you..
In Boro they put great big metal gates up to keep people out of allies. There's a bit of an eating out of bins culture and they're trying to stamp it out. Love the way they do the front of their houses up tough please log in to view this image In other words its a ****ing ****hole with a with a **** stadium built on barren land. So let them enjoy their friendly win against the reserves. They don't have much
What has the high unemployment and low wage areas of Boro have to do with football boooooooooo Like Sunderland hasnt got them eh not like you would know . Darlo, another plastic. No wonder your the most hated of all North East teams. Cant wait for you to be relegated I SUPPORT MY LOCAL TEAM
Enjoy your friendly win it may take your mind off ****ing up your promotion bid. Looks like your going to bottle it just like you bottled the play off final last year.
Or we could still stay up and you could still stay down. Which is equally as likely as what you have stated.
