I'm not a RL fan by any means but was invited yesterday and really enjoyed the game. What struck me was the fitness levels of many of the players, let alone getting seven bells knocked out of them. The teams at the top of the Super League seem even more so. Maybe what the City Players need is to spend a day training with either of the two teams, maybe we'll then find someone who sticks a foot in and runs for the full duration of the game and isn't afraid to put himself on the line for the cause…
Yeah i watched it and although its full bloodied they are both very average teams. Time for one RL team i think theyve won very little between them when you add it up. But yeah City could learn a thing or 2 about fitness and going until the last minute. On another note i watched Wigan Athletic last night and they looked excellent played some great attacking football ( if only a )
Ironic. Was in town yesterday and couldn't help but note the lardiness and unfitness of the folk wearing their RL replica shirts etc For a 'rugby hotbed', we seem to produce very few RL players.
A wind up thread if ever there was one. Does the OP call in to RH and give it those bloody footballers could learn thing or two from RL diving about everywhere etc etc
Good job really, who would they play for if we did? A pub team seems to be only a bit down the pyramid from the world cup.
That depends on which figures[sic] you use. One set included the number of diabetics getting treatment in the area as a surrogate, without considering that HRI covered more than this area for diabetes, as it was well regarded.
I heard it was Bilton Sully's v Skirlaugh in the play offs for a place in the next RL 'World' Cup. To be played at the Watersheddings with Stuart Hall and Eddie Waring commentating.
Since we've been taken over Vascular (including lots of diabetics) on the South bank they account for at least 50% of our referrals now. As the disease is so awful on the SB by the time we get them it's too late and it's time for choppy Mcchop leg. We haven't receive any extra resources despite the fact we cover the SB. Double the workload but no more staff.
I hear Clarke's and Saxone in Grimsby are laying staff off. Business down 50% in last few years......
The diabetes sufferers attending HRI might well make the numbers inaccurate, but they don't change the fact that Hull has a lot of overweight people. Walk through the city centre any daytime and it's like being at a Weight Watchers convention in Florida.
Weight Watchers people are least doing something about it. Genuinely bizarre metaphor there. Edited for typo
