What did they get? They deserved a life sentence for that. Proper sick and ruined someones life to boot.

 

This judge has thrown the most of the book at him. Good to see a decent term. It's not much but think it's more than most were anticipating which was more in the region of 1-2 years ...

I read one thing (later refuted) that he had his caps erased. Had to chuckle about that. Sounds like some Orwellian ministry of truth.

Some guy going through all the newspapers and tipexing out Johnson's name and then taping over the games where he appears.

 

@Milk, Jeff Powell reckons the FA should take Johnson's caps back due to them being blighted by the disgraced player.

But there wasn't and isn't the same call for this ****'s international caps to be taken back despite his offences being worse than Johnson's.

Looking at the two cases you'll see the differing attitudes of the players clubs and colleagues in the 16 years between the convictions, Chelsea wouldn't have backed the **** so readily these days, individuals like Bob Wilson wouldn't have put their reputations on the line backing the guilty person so readily and if Rix was found guilty yesterday instead of 16 years ago he'd have got at least ten years compared to Johnson........oh and probably wouldn't still be working in the professional game as a coach.

If they DO take Johnson's caps back i hope they also take Rix's.
