and sustained the rate which they picked up points after he became manager, they would have finished 5th with 66 points.

I found this to be an interesting factoid.

Did you know, that if you watch the movie Jaws backwards it's a movie about a shark that keeps throwing people up until they open a beach?

Just thought it was interesting as a lot of Liverpool fans seem to be harping on about him being like the second coming of Jesus when in actual fact he was just getting the squad to perform as it should.

The Liverpool fans won't believe anything that proves "King" Kenny not to be God.

Man United fans will not believe that Lord Fergus once took Man United from 2nd in 1988 to 13th in 1989.The reason they don't believe it is because in their deluded little minds, anything before 1993 doesn't exist, and he didn't pay £2.3 million for Neil Webb.

We were 12th when he joined though behind Everton adn 4 points off relegation zone, that's the difference. Nobody was comparing our performances to the top 4 or anywhere near when he took over.

Also I make it 4th with 70 points (Dalglish got 33pts in 18 games Hodgson got 25pts in 20).

To answer your question sensibly, I think he did well considering the position we were in when he took over.

I don't know the exact amounts I just copied this.

    BUT:

    33 pts in 18 games = 1.8pts per game.

    1.8pts x 38 games = 70pts

So you are right, it's still not as good as many were saying however as a few people were saying he'd of won the title or title challenged at least if it had been him all season.

Still, he did do quite well in the situation... although not as well as KPR who is spouting on about some irrelevant things from the 80's thinks.

You don't know a lot really do you?

Have you factored in that if liverpool won more points then statisically speaking the teams above us would have gained less thereby leaving us even closer to the top.

    Just wondering!

Considering we were pretty much bottom when he took over and we were missing a few key players he done extremely well.

    Poor WUM attempt.

That is a good point tbf, that's impossible to factor in however as you don't know who they would beat.

    It is relevant.
We got the ''Rafa took Liverpool from 2nd to 7th'' stuff for quite a while.
Fergus managed to surpass that..He took Man United from 2nd to 13th.
