Day 83, film 83, sod it !! with all the convo about comic book films im gonna watch "Avengers age of ultron", one of my all time favourite comic book films......
Agreed, High Rise does look good. We were discussing Higglestone as the next Bond when watching Ep.4 of The Manager (we will back to back the final two) and agree he would be be a good choice. Although it would do little for me as they do less for me than acold fry up.
I've been a huge fan of and wanted Elba as next bond but yeah I'm totally behind Hiddleston now. Not in a gay way. In Night Manager he's shown he could be frigging perfect as Bond.
Talking of the night manager I think Tom Hollander is a brilliant actor, watched him on the Jonathan Ross show, very funny.....
Oof. Batman v Superman is taking a right battering. On Rotten Tomatoes: Rating: 33% Average Rating: 5.2/10 No. of Reviews: 137 Positive: 45 Negative: 92 That's still a lot of positive reviews, but even the positive reviews are criticising the hell out of it. Will be interesting to see the audience reaction when it arrives tomorrow. I think it will get the exact same reaction Man of Steel got - a complete divide in the fanbase, with people either absolutely loving it or absolutely despising it.
Just remembered this film I saw at Christmas, The Selfish Giant, it's so good I actually watched it twice in a week...
I loved it !!! (Man of steel)... But not sure about BVS, not taking any notice Of toms or critics, I'll find out myself...
Just watched the most incredible docu/film that I've ever seen, Samsara; it has no dialogue** just an 1hr 40mins of the most vivid, startling images of occurrences, sights from obscure places around the world. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it, so had to pinch this quote from IMDb site - ''Filmed over nearly five years in twenty-five countries on five continents, and shot on seventy-millimetre film, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders'' .......... enjoy. **It does have a soundtrack. Edited to add - it's best watched on a BIG screen, there's too much to take in on a computer screen!
My lad just txted, he went to see BVS at midnight last night, said its absolutely mint, loved it.... I'll go by his opinion, has to be good for him to like it. Mind he is a massive DC comic fan...
Even earlier:- Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance (1982) Powaqqatsi: Life in transformation (1988) Naqoyqatsi: Life as war (2002) and earlier still:- Among the most influential films ever made.
I'm a massive DC Comic fan too, but I really didn't like Man of Steel that much. Am off to see BvS this afternoon.
Captain Flint out of Black Sails would make a good Bond with a bit of hair-dye, Toby Stephens. Might see if I can get some odds on him
