What player or players do you think may be a surprise package in how they preform this season? I'm thinking along the lines of Guly and Barnard, they aren't really getting much attention and all the publicity is for Lallana and Chambo so they may put in some good performances. I think Guly could fare well, he's quick, confident and can score goals from any distance. I'm looking foward to seeing how those two and Hammond and Lallana do this season, Lallana is a completely different player from the last time we were in the Championship and he's in a much better squad.

    Lallana will shine
Cork is quality at this level
Connolly will be a surprise package if fit
Guly will kick ass at this level - watch!

I think all the players who havent played in the Championship before. The reason I say this is because they have something to prove, they personally want to test themselves at a higher level and by doing so they take there training to a higher level so they become fitter and more technically sound. I think Lambert is going to amongst the top scorers this year. Whats also good is players like Lallana and Schneiderlin who got games in the Championship before are twice as good as now, they're in a side with a winning mentality not a losing one. Then we have players like Cork who have the experience and know how of this league. Christ I'm getting to excited we have a very good squad now and I can't wait for the first game to arrive.

I think with the additions of Cork and De Ridder alongside our established midfielders, I'm confident we will score goals. Rickie doesn't have pace but does have great control and finishing. Connolly is nippy, good positional sense and an eye for goal. With the chances I expect to be created, I'm sure there will be goals. I'm looking forward to seeing our attacking prowess.
The areas that concern me slightly are the full backs. Unlike many on here, I've never been convinced by Dan Harding but unfortunately haven't seen much from Ryan Dickson to make him automatic choice either. Both make needless mistakes and lose position. My fear is whoever plays will get found out at this level.
At right back, Danny Butterfield is an experienced player who reads the game well but his lack of pace and the ease of how he is beaten in the air lets him down. Fraser Richardson would be my choice, he is strong and quick, tackles well and not bad in the air. But even he quite often gives the ball away with a wayward pass or two and sometimes loses his position.
I can see us being exposed down the wings in this division unless the defensive midfielders work hard to cover the fullbacks. So although I expect to see us concede a few goals I'm hoping we will outscore our opponents.

Leicester are doing the most preforming. We've done a bit. Burnley aren't doing a lot of preforming at all.

I think we've got a bit more preforming to do, but that's what perseason's all about.

Schneiderlin I think will. He seems more suited to a higher level, and I think his class and maturity will show through....I say while I wear my Schneiderlin Saints shirt :)

Lambert will be quality at this level too. His ability to hold it up and relieve pressure off the back 4 will be immense this year. I bet he gets a zillion assists
