    You're right.

I have no idea why this appeared on on the latest thread page. I didn't go searching for it, I presumed you had.

    Odd one.

Either way, I'm glad it did. Very nice article, good read, thanks KPR!
and the post highlights what oppositions fans don't realize with the whole 'vacation period (utter ****e, btw) is that Kenny dalglish did so well with a team he had very little say in, other than two strikers. The rest were already signed for him, based on the other coaches opinions of the players skill, skillets based on that coaches playing style, with all the players coached to play a single way. When Kenny came in, he took their style and turned it towards his own, using those players in a different way. Now he has had mire time to coach them his way, plus bring in some of his own choices. Can't wait for the season to start!!!

What some people don't seem to understand is that he had to instill a lot of confidence into players that it seemed gave up caring. In the last few games it seemed like they didn't care. Some of this was due to them not enjoying training.
I'm 100% sure that was key to the improvement,Kenny had them enjoying training again when he had the players for a decent amount of time, things improved.
There is little things he does that make a difference. Most of them are simplistic. He calls players to one-side and whispers in their ear and gives them snippets of advice, something he learnt from Bob Paisley, who wasn't inclined to give full team-talks but instead used to go up to specific players and whisper in their ear and give them snippets of advice ie ''that defender has a gammy ankle'' ''that striker has a dodgey knee'' or stuff to that effect.

We were told a lot of things: no sale, administration, bad sale, no money, relegation, not Hodgson's fault, mediocre squad, too long out of the game, Comolli can't spot players like Suarez and we're spending too much money.

They're still telling us things: bad signings, expensive signings, struggle for top four, our rebuilding isn't reason for optimism like Utd's rebuilding. Oh, and Arsenal's rebuilding and Chelsea's rebuilding and Spurs' rebuilding and City...oh City, we remember the things they told you, too.

With everything they've had to throw at us over the last two years and the strife the club has suffered it's a miracle we didn't fall further.

Now we're forcing Fergie to acknowledge we're a force again.

We don't need him or anybody else to tell us.

I read this in a newspaper from Kenny's book ''My Liverpool home''.
Kenny in 1990 said to Peter Robinson regarding Ferguson and Man United ''If he gets it right...we're in trouble''
I reckon Fergie is contemplating the same thing happening......only in reverse. He knows only too well how dangerous Kenny is.He saw Rafa as a threat..but not dangerous. He however does regard Kenny as being dangerous. He will not dare pull some of the stunts on Kenny that he did on Rafa...he knows Kenny will crucify him.He got whacked by Kennys acid tongue before and it took 7 years for him to recover from it.You just don't mess with the ''Prince of put-downs''.
