Thank the lord and Jesus Christ, for doing something that has slipped my mind, for now we Westerners who have been brought up in this Christian nation are granted two days annual holiday to celebrate this festival of chocolate.

    What's everybody got planned?

For me, bit of home improvement needs doing on Saturday then off out Sunday night for some much needed drinks. Trying desperately to avoid going to the cinema tomorrow night with the wife to watch another awful comedy.

I had an early finish at work for winning a sales competition and my lady is away 'til Sunday in Knutsford visiting our youngest daughter. So. I have made a chilli to last 3 days, am on my second bottle of red and about to start watching a glut of sci-fi films that she won't watch and I love.

Oh. And I'll spend a few minutes reflecting on Christ the redeemer who we all owe this holiday to. (Genuinely). This should be a bigger celebration than Christmas, but the Yanks won that battle.

    I've just started!

First one's in honour of Welder grafting.

    Second one's for Billy's birthday.

I'll have to think of a reason for the third one. Or maybe not ;):emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Well I've just had a shower after having a bit of time with Mrs. A. in the spa downstairs, here in Farnham (where we are for a few days) visiting very good friends (since yesterday) :emoticon-0100-smile

We will shortly be going to a local restaurant with our hosts, before returning to drink some more here and watching the wildlife outside the patio, where they roam freely :emoticon-0100-smile

All in all we are being very well looked after by Mr. & Mrs. S. (wonderful and 'real' people) who will be visiting Guildford with us tomorrow <hug>

Working 5 hours Sat/Sun evenings, and 10 hours Monday, looking after those who are ill and can't get out to see a doctor, somebody has to do it and its a job I love, so no grumbles from me.
