Completely agree. I sympathise wih what the girl has gone throuh, but in reality, it wasn't caused directly by Johnson, it was caused by the police action and prosecution. If it hadn't been against the law, or if they hadn't have got caught, she would have come to no harm. As you say, the sentence looks absurd in comparison with other offences : - 6 times worse than graham rix having sex with underage girl - 2 times worse than that other football geezer allegedly raping a woman - the same as a headmistress comitting 13 acts of sexual abuse, including statutory rape, of children at her school, aged 13 and 14 - the same as attempted murder - the same as actually killing someone by drink driving He shouldn't have done it, and I have some sympathy with the girl, but the sentence is patently absurd.
