With only a matter of minutes left in yesterday's poll, Forum Arguer-in-Chief Rusty Provan received a last gasp vote bringing his total to 6 and putting him joint 1st with arch nemesis, rival, historic enemy, and perennial opponent, Garlic munching, speed eating Toby! What scenes!!!!!

It's looking more and more like a bad decision for Russ to have 'voted for himself'.

Hate is a strong word !
It is sad that anyone could even contemplate hatred of anonymous participants on an internet forum. There is nothing humanly wrong in hating sin - but we should try to love the sinner - Even Jesus forgave his executioners !

In light of recent events in Belgium, it would be very easy, perhaps understandable, if you said you hated terrorists - and the misery they inflict on the world is horrendous - but - surely a person must be totally mentally deranged to strap on a suicide belt to 'make a point' ?? - it's not as if they can then sit back and claim to have succeeded in their mission ! So - somehow ( don't ask me how *), we need to cure their diseased minds - to stop their infection from spreading.

* -- that doesn't mean blowing out their brains. Hatred begets hatred, begets war, begets war - begets hatred, begets hatred - begets war etc.

ps - I'm not making a late bid for this title - the one I have has caused at least one person to 'covet' - I wouldn't want people to start hating me.

I do believe that you and Rusty Provan are putting a bit too much emphasis on the word hate and its usage.

However, the rest of your post rings true and it's no wonder you are GC Poster of the Year 2015.

In future, could you just replace your paragraphs of absolute pish with a picture of a turd? Would help out the few peeps that make the mistake of reading it.

We live in a society where people use aggression as their first option. ( the only option they seem to know ) This mentality is destroying human relationship.

Last weekend I was at a football match. A man in front of me stood up during the game - and remained standing for about a minute- before I tapped him on the shoulder to attract his attention - to ask him to sit down ( I had paid to watch the game - not his back - whilst he was on his mobile phone ! ). This charming individual turned around - and with snarling expression told me not to touch him. I politely asked him to sit so that I would have no need to 'touch' him. I'm sure that he could see that I wasn't impressed by his aggression - he turned and immediately sat down.
But -why did he think it was right to be nasty. We're all human - we ALL make mistakes. Apologise (sincerely if possible), and move on - not start a sequence of events that can only lead to bloodshed.
