R.I.P. Ken Howard - played Jordan's Dad in "Crossing Jordan" just short of 72 years old. please log in to view this image
In any list of the top half a dozen or so greats. And a better manager than any of the other greats. You shudder to,think what he would be worth nowadays.
The Dutch team in the early 1970s was probably the best I've ever seen and Cruyff was the undoubted star. R.I.P.
Agree one of the few who can realistically be called a legend - changed the way the game was played. Hope they retire the Dutch 14 shirt in tribute.
One of the greatest footballers of all time, he and the "Dutch Masters" brought excitement and joy to the game in the seventies ... such a breath of fresh air. Here are some of his quotes: "Quality without results is pointless. Results without quality is boring." "Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is." "In a way, I’m probably immortal." As long as there is video footage available and as long as coaches keep teaching the "Cruyff Turn," you will be immortal, Johan.
I honestly believ we will never see someone like him ever again. ****ing poncey, puffed-up, over-paid tarts we have now...
This is brilliant, loads of people are buying 14 shares in Ajax, as a tribute to the man... please log in to view this image
One of the greatest of all time, and one of my favourite players. RIP. Not only an inspiration during his playing days, but also made Barcelona what they are today through his management.
