SPOT THE BALL COMPETITION ... a very popular game in all newspapers until it was exposed that the thickness of a biro (was usually) in the centre of the ball but to thick a line to determine absolute centre ..after the TV programme that showed this the game it died a lingering death ... my point ... a piece of tracing paper was often applied to draw a line from all players looking at the ball and how often was that wildly out because of the "dimension aspect" singular plane ... if the ball is a foot off the ground then the angle of perspective, its horizontal position opposed to vertical is then giving the optical result of being in a different place than a view at the same moment in time from a plane 90 degree's ( side ) or 180 degrees (opposite ) A view from this angle is deceiving the eye .... JB's goal ... may add to these comments if I get time to further work on pictures/frames
initial investigation of the pic shows that there are green pixels between "foot and ball " so in this frame no contact angle is fairly steep it is a terrible image out of focus/distorted I can find no infocus focal point, checked at 6x normal size ( taken at low frames per sec ?) .. out of interest where did the pic come from????
I thought that was fairly obvious from the information on the screen however to clarify, it's from the Channel 5 Football League show on catch up. Google and look at this (not the Sky highlights). Here is the link, there are 2 minutes of adverts that you can't avoid but it is free after that. The goal in question is around 7:30 in and there are 3 separate angles https://www.my5.tv/the-championship-football-league-tonight/season-1/episode-33 I am aware there is no contact in this frame, you have no idea how many times I had to run it to get that close to the moment (as there is no frame by frame facility on line). The point is that the ball had ALREADY MADE CONTACT/GONE OVER JK's foot by that frame. I have watched it very many times and there is no spot the ball or optical illusion, JK clearly contacts the ball BEFORE it goes over the line. If you can't see that then I give up....
despite all the 'spot the ball' bollocks its clearly Kodjias goal.. I am amazed you would take so much detail in to prove you are right and can't see the massive MY5 logo and championship football league written across the middle of the screen..
From where I was sat I could see it and the tv replay shows its JK who got the final touch. Anyway I'm glad JB is credited because JK was offside.
Frenchman credited with a brace against Bolton. Jonathan Kodjia has scored a brace in City’s 6-0 win over Bolton Wanderers, the Football League has confirmed. Having already headed in City’s fifth in the Ashton Gate rout, TV pictures appeared to show the Frenchman getting the final touch to Joe Bryan’s shot en route to the final goal of the game. The goal was originally credited to Bryan by Opta Sports, but the League’s Dubious Goals Panel has since met to discuss the matter. Stop digging. You only have to open your eyes to see who scored it, there is a very clear video on the main site. All the stats and blusto in the world won't change that! Even JB knew Kodjia had nicked it at the time!

Wonder what the stats was on JGF being wrong when a high percentage all believed it was JK's goal before the panel confirmed it.
I didn't either, so all the goals scored by players that a slight deflection from the defender goes in should be own goals ..... Kodija gets the credit fair enough, but it would have been a goal anyway ... Sarcasm is the wit of the lowest flattery ... and I do love being flattered ......
