Italy have included him for their forthcoming friendly matches, where did it all go wrong for him here?

    I still wouldn't discount it.

Should there not be a thread, just designated for crap news, I mean I know it's related to Sunderland but you can't half tell it's half term for Premier league footy.

Breaks for meaningless friendly games are a pain during the season and should be scrapped once and for all.

I was only playing up to my username, no need to have a period.

Sorry if you've been genuinely offended, you should see how many of Comm's posts I say are crap... thick skin, that's what you need, not running shoes.

Where did it go wrong? He never started more than 3 league games in a row. Don't give overseas players the playing time they never settle and they never adapt. It's as simple as that. In short. We ****ed him over, never give him a chance. Glad we haven't ruined his career. Talented little player.

Great player, glad he's doing well. Deserves far better than what he got here.

I don't see how we ****ed him over? He was injured most of the time, and got his fair share of opportunities.

He was too lightweight, and before you tell me to look at silva and mahrez ect, Giacc had nowhere near the ability of those guys.

If he could have stayed fit, he might have done well, but he didn't, and when he played he wasn't effective for us.

Still, we paid him 40k per week, and when things didn't work out, we loaned him back to Italy, where he is more effective.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out, but to say we ****ed him over, especially with the amount of time he spent out injured, is a stupid comment.

For me he was best suited to a counter-attacking game which we rarely could produce.

Or you haven't got a logical explanation for the ridiculous statement you made.

Ok, I'll engage with you because your getting cocky and need working on.

It's not ridiculous. Yes last season he was hampered by injury but he was fit most of the season before and spent most of the time on the bench.

He's been registered at the club for a total of 80 league games.

    24 - Injured
    17 - Started
    34 - On the bench
5 - He made the match day squad but not the bench

He's been available plenty but only played 1658 out of the possible of 5040 minutes he was available for. He never started more than 3 games in a row.

These are facts. So what exactly is ridiculous? The personal opinion that overseas players can struggle to adapt when not given enough game time? He's was always going to struggle with the physical aspect without game time. The tiny players who've succeeded in this game have done it by conditioning, playing games, getting used to the physical aspect then adjusting and developing their game to adapt. Giacc didn't get a sniff. Do you really think he's going to look back on his time here as a good move? Do you really think Giacc will be satisfied that our high turn over in managers has never given him the proper chance to get games under his belt? Very good player who's fell foul to the way this shambles of a club has been ran. Olivier Giroud, he's built like a brick **** house. It took him a full season(where he played 34 times in the league) to even look like a Premier League player. Just going to show even the overseas big lads need time to adapt and you think and you think it's ridiculous to think the game time Giacc had wasn't enough to adapt.

You're a ****ing moron. That's why I don't want to engage with you. Not because you've challenged my opinion and 'i've crumbled to your fact filled informative counter argument' which you seem to think<doh> Now take the facts and my sensible opinion which you've branded ridiculous and shove them up your arse with your head.
