The most important thing is that you are a Hull City supporter. Stick with it. The arguments & bitterness are really centred around the insensitive treatment by the owners of their supporters. Some of your comments seem to have suggested a lack of appreciation/empathy for that side of the equation...unintentionally perhaps. You did retract or explain some comments later - perfect. There are some raw wounds out there. Giving the appearance of supporting/defending those who inflicted the wounds would never go down well.
I was incredulous about the concept of moving seats purely from the perspective of leaving the physical seat as I empathised with people's communities being broken up and the cost, but apart from that I would hope I haven't come across as too insensitive. I'll try and ease back on the incredulity if that's the case as I know it's a bit of a terse time at the moment. Fingers crossed the review comes up with some smart ideas to satisfy everyone!
Certainly try easing back on something, there are far too many threads currently being derailed by you arguing with people.
I'm a stubborn prick sometimes I'll admit, but perhaps if people didn't call me plastic or other things that then spur me on to defend myself perhaps there wouldn't be so many.
Hull City membership scheme examined but will still go ahead HULL City will not abandon plans for their new membership scheme despite admitting feedback from supporters has prompted a review. City say they will take their time to conduct a review of the proposals surrounding the new club memberships after listening to feedback in the wake of last week's announcement. Vice-chairman Ehab Allam announced plans in the Mail last week for what was a radical overhaul of how fans attend games moving forward. Abandoning the old season pass format for a membership scheme that rewards loyalty, with a one price for all approach, Mr Allam said he believed the new structure was the best way forward for the club and was a fairer system. That stance has not changed, although City say they are keen to find ways to benefit all supporters with their scheme. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-28972067-detail/story.html#ixzz43huX2SA2
most important games of the season and what do our owners do, come out with a load of 'off the field ****' that diverts attention and causes upset amongst the fans - same as last season and that ended up in tears
Given that some of us earned our stripes many, many years ago, shouldn't this thread be 'earn your tripe'? It's offensive to imply we should start again. I'd still love to see the research strawberry did for this **** up.
I think they'll delay any seat moves from the West Upper and tweak the numbers to improve things for kids/families, but that will probably be it.
I bet all this **** is costing more than £250k - they'll have to reprint all the crap they were going to send out this week - hopefully it will all get piled into the recycle bin at the KC and reappear as Izal at some stage
Hard to say without knowing how big a tweak it is, but I suspect it won't be enough. Those in the West Upper will obviously be happy if they're not going to be forced to move (at least for now), but if they've got kids they're probably going to still have to move to the South to get a reasonable ticket price and there's still likely to be plenty of others forced to move in other parts of the ground. If we don't get promoted and the prices are similar to those already published, I'll be surprised if we manage 10,000 members.
If the ****ers could half my age (a tweak) I'd accept the entry cost increases. No bloody chance with either. There's loyalty for 60+ years support for ya.
I think they will need to delay moving West Upper for ever. I think for those asked to move to another area of the ground, it is akin to a Council putting a Compulsory Purchase Order on your house and saying you only have choices to live in areas you would never wish to live. Should the Club go ahead with any evictions anywhere in the ground, in the interests of supporter retention they should sugar the pill with an extra 20% discount for the first year of the new seat.
I suspect they will do the same sugaring that they did for those of us evicted from E1-3.......Nothing at all
