Spotted this earlier on Twitter - an article from 1980 - evidencing the success of 'the academy' some 36 years ago.

Dean Wilkins, Stewart and Waddock were all decent players in their time at QPR.

I am sure in 36 years time, somebody will produce a similar photo of all the raw talent developed at Loftus Road by Chris Ramsey during his tenure here.

John Collins youth coach! I didn't know he'd had the job - he was one of my earliest QPR favourites.

Don't forget Wayne Fereday, I remember him being a decent player under Venebles. Good footballer's name too (although my favourite in that regard has to be Simon Stainrod)..

well not really ellers sinton made 2-7 million trever sinclair made 700 thousand plus three players that made up a 2 million pounds deal
but bannister sold for 300 thousand stainrod 250 thousand byrne also sold for about 100 thousand these deals were ridiculous as was clive allen being sold to spurs for about 650 thousand he then goes out and scores fifty goals in one season, whilst on the subject of spurs how did they get fenwick so ch\eap when he was a full england international
