Out of curiosity... Am I the only one who refuses to wear green on St. Pats? I wear bright red (Englishist colour I can think of). When I left England, St. Pats wasn't really celebrated. I have 0 objections to the Irish (or st. Patrick)... But I still dress in red because I'm such a rebel.
I think that Ted must've fell akip before the start of the second half at SMS, yesterday.....#aftersundaydinnersnooze....

Red is our (Wales') colour. England should stick to white. It suits you as a country because you're all plain, boring and used to surrendering.
A few points: Red was the colour of England's original flag (a white Dragon or wyvern on a red field). Sheep are white. Wales surrendered to England. Wales can have ****ing white... I want red. England football plays in white but I wish we didn't. White isn't really a footballing colour. Its not a colour you can get pasionaye about.
The Welsh dragon killed that white dragon. Plus your post is mean spirited and I'm reporting it to the mods Yeah, I agree, its not a great footballing colour. Its hard to match the colour of the Kop or Dortmund's yellow wall as examples when you only have a plain white colour to incorporate into your banners/scarves/shirts
You obviously never left the part/parts of England where St Pats Day has been celebrated since at least the early 1900's
There was the wear green or get pinched thing in Cheshire but that was it and no one did that anyway. No one went partying or doing anything special on that day. Its the American influence Britain that's made it a big thing in England the last few decades.
Nah, there's been a St Pats parade in Liverpool and celebration since the era i mentioned in my last post Milk, started in the areas that the Irish immigrants settled(Scottie, Vauxhall Rd, Bootle etc)and has carried on since in one form or another, don't know when the 1st one was in Sherman Land but they had St Pats celebrations in Oz in the early 1900's also. Maybe you Chester peeps should've celebrated St David's day being on the Welsh border.
