can anyone tell me why Ashley has released yet another rare statement about his ownership of NUFC at quite this precise point in time.
In the interview if l understand it correctly, he claims to be wedded to Newcastle, l have them and they have me. It comes across that he is resigned to this less than attractive proposition, like a loveless marriage no one has the heart to break.
When asked if he regrets getting into football, he said yes he did regret it. Top marks for honesty, but, why say these things now? Why admit it's all been a big mistake, and that he and his cronies have religiously got it wrong, season after season. Surely his timing is crap, with the club on the edge of oblivion, is he trying to push it into the abyss?
I just don't get where this guy is coming from, so much despondency and regret at a time when we need positive mutterings from the likes of him.

That did cross my mind also, but it doesn't promote confidence if the owner is already accepting we are going to be plying our trade in the fizzy pop league.
Every time that guy gets involved he puts his foot right in it.
How are the team, the fans, the manager supposed to have a modicum of belief if he has as much as said its game over.

As per the other thread, I think it's just more buffoonery from the fat one. He's plain and simply a dimwit.

Sorry guys didn't see the other thread had already posed this same question.
But agree the fat one is indeed dumber than dumb, filthy rich, but still a fat stupid git.
Money can't by you love and it certainly can't buy you any class!

I don't understand why he's still here. SD is falling at a catastrophic rate, negating the point of being associated to NUFC and I daresay his mis-management of our club and its' perils have more than contributed to the tarnished image of his beloved SD.

He needs to get out and become a recluse somewhere in Cumbria. We're going down, Rafa will bail out, there'll be no money, no assistants, no hope. Wow it's looking bleak - and we'll be stuck with this fat moron. League One here we come.

SD share price will fall to a point where he will take it back into private hands.................his hands, for a relative song. The guy isn't as stupid as he looks where SD is concerned. However where NUFC is concerned nobody could look as stupid as he actually is.

Basically, the fat **** is out of his depth. He's a shopkeeper that struck it lucky with SD. It's all falling down around him and he's looking for sympathy.

But HDQ its you who have been unfaithful. I caught you looking at Leicester enviously and I heard you telling your friends you wished I was more like Spurs. Believe me I will take you to the cleaners if you divorce me. I guarantee all you will be left with is Sissoko and Haidara.

that wasn't his money he was spending, that's the clubs. all this pap we have had to endure since he bought us is so the club becomes self reliant and doesn't need investment. he pretty much said that before the west ham game last season. its the board which spent the money and it would appear they've spent it all. if/when we go down the club is pretty much stuffed. no one is going to pay a decent price for any of our current squad there fore there wont be much to reinvest
