Monk vs Curtis/Guido ......Monk got us to 33 points with 4 games remaining after being handed a team averaging 1 point a game .Monk won 3 of the last 4 games against very weak teams ............ to save us singlehandedly .
Curtis and Guido got us to 33 points with 9 games remaining after being handed a team averaging just barely under 1 point a game ........hope they can save us , if they haven't already .

I just cant see how Norwich and Newcastle are going to suddenly turn their season round to average more in their remaining fixtures than they have for the previous 29/28 games respectively. They would have to drastically change tactics or managers (something we have already done).

Me neither , although I thought Sunderland and Norwich have been playing well of late and would be a few points richer by now .
Bournemouth seem about right where they should be but Newcastle really fooled me , thought they would be above us by now .
But Sunderland , Newcastle and Norwich being asked to make up more points a game than they're actually making is a huge ask .
There is an outside chance we may already be safe actually .

I agree with you, But Sunderland have gone on good runs at the end of a few seasons and did Wigan before them and Leicester. We just have to hope that 2 of the three fail, not even considering Villa. I can see 37 pts being enough to be on the safe side and we should have a win and a raw in us in the last 9 games.

tbh on a good day I cant see why we cant win them all or at least draw, however good days seem few and far between, funny how we seem to play better against the better sides.

We are probably safe now but we may pick up the odd few points if our lucky streak continues....<ok>

I'm actually one point down on my predictions so far, which is good but I honestly can't see us winning another game, so I just hope we can pick up two or three draws in the run in.

Not as much as the pot ......I have no fear of Stoke , they went four games from mid January to the first week of Febuary without scoring a goal .They beat Newcastle and Villa recently by a single goal .
And I'm certainly not scared of Newcastle dai .
Getting something from Chelsea these days might be a tough ask .
If we don 't get four points from now till the end of the Newcastle game , I'll come on here and say what a hugely great fan you are , super knowledgable and great human being in general and should be a world leader .....after Brussels we could use a healthy dose of good world leaders

Anything's possible of course. Don't get me wrong roof, I hope you're right but I just feel you're a tad overly optimistic :emoticon-0105-wink:

Unfortunately we will have about 7 or 8 players out on international duty, so I cannot see us getting any points at Stoke..............<ok>

Wont Stoke have a similar number away. Still don't think we will get anything though. We just cant deal with them and never have been since we have been in the Pl.

    Here is the full list.

Also, you have to put both Palace and Watford in the mix, Bournemouth too Bap. We currently have far better form than any and all of those teams and with Palace in free fall they're serious contenders if Sunderland do manage to win some games.
