I reckon he did have a limited budget from ES.
I also think that he has done quite well in the market with a couple of very good signings but think he did overlook just how vulnerable our defence is.
Desperate for a real left & right back.
Keep a couple of clean sheets and i think we will be ok, Norwich and Noocastle are leaking goals at a higher rate than we are now.
Do i rate ES? i honestly don't know, better the devil you know at the minute for me.

I have no problem with Short, he has put a lot of money in over the years with little or nothing to show for it. I can't blame him for tightening the purse strings which I believe is the reason that Sam couldn't spend the fortune that would have been needed to bring in a top striker.

I think if he'd had the budget he'd had addressed all the areas and got an extra striker, an extra cm and an extra defender. I mean who wouldn't? We blatantly need one of each The fact he didn't tells me it's the man who issued the budget is the reason we're short in quality in these areas. I don't blame Sam for that. He's at fault enough for the weird in game tactical changes he seems to make every game.
