Brucey was bemoaning the international break, but if we have players that are 'tired' then surely apart from those travelling long distances the international break offers an ideal opportunity to recharge, get the month of March out of the system, and come back ready to kick on come Brizzle at home in a couple of weeks? Whilst we have a number of players on international duty, most will play one game and travel relatively short distances within Europe, Abel aside. Hopefully get the 3-4 players missing in recent weeks back into contention also. I can understand the whole tiredness thing coming into contention last Friday only, having played the Florists at home 72 hours earlier; but if that was the case why didn't we see use of the subs much earlier when it appeared some players were struggling; Clucas as an example? The FA Cup games as we know have seen a very different starting 11 playing. We talk about must win games, well Brizzle at home as to be one of those if we harbour hopes of auto promotion, and build confidence ahead of the game against Derby the following Tuesday, a match I can see Brucey 'saving' Abel for? Here's hoping the break works in our favour, and 3 points against Brizzle is a must!
We fail to beat Bristol at home and autos gone. We lose and the play offs will start looking in the balance. Got to win this one
A win would also see us make up ground on either Brighton or Burnley as they play each other on the dame day
Burnley look very likely to be taking one auto spot. But you ask any Brighton or Boro fan if they think the other one's between those two. No, they'll still be looking at us as major contenders.
