More likely the fact that Manor Properties are a bunch of tossers. Should compulsary purchase all their sites and run them out of town. I don't think any of their sites have got off the ground.
i am sure when this was built there were problems with windows. have no idea why i would remember such useless info!!
Radisson Blu have confirmed that they have not pulled out of the deal with Manor and still expect the hotel to open, but not until the end of 2017.
Oh good stuff. Has regards the outdoor venue opposite the deep. I walked around there at 4.30pm in Sunday and the guys where just leaving. Theyve really got on with it and its a lesson to what can be achieved when needed. I lesson for the City centre works
You're right. I had a friend who rented in there and because the window frames were metal they had all bent slightly due to temperature change which either made them leak or not close properly. He moved out in the end because the landlord said it was a building management issue and the building management argued it was the landlords responsibility.
Manor never built the BBC building. They took over the contract three quarters of the way through the project and completed the outstanding work ( no doubt including fitting of the windows)
Theatrical, this is what was said at the launch - While performances will take place in the evenings, it is hoped the outdoor space will also be used during the day by theatre companies for rehearsing and developing work.
Pity they can't dredge some of that mud from the River Hull as it seems to increase in volume everytime I visit down there, with the actual water channel getting narrower and narrower.
I heard that after the Hull floods 2007? some experts from Holland came over to help, they were shocked with what they saw. In simple terms every bucket full of mud in the river or drains is a bucket full of water in someones garden or house. They were told that they can't dredge river Hull because the mud is what holds the side walls up.
It will become a skateboard park and a place for graffiti artists. Should have kept it as a dry dock and put the Viola in there.
It is a mess when you walk down the river. Im sure whenbthe new Radisson is built the customers will enjoy the view. Unfortunately it would take millions to make the area look nice
How much could it really cost just to put a lock at the mouth of the river. You would think the uplift in the value of the river side land would more than compensate for the cost.
