Could we have Leicester, Spuds (spits) and West Ham in the CL places? That would ruffle a few feathers!

West Ham look like moving away from the top 7 team. They will spend alot next season as well. I can see a CL / top 6 being a thing for them in the long term.

And if West Ham breaks in, or Leicester's performance isn't a one-off, that's going to give clubs such as ourselves a much better chance as well, because the CL money will end up getting spread around. Exciting times in the PL right now...we could have a few seasons of really excellent top half races until the moneyed powers find some way to ruin it.

I think West Ham are perfectly set up to be the next bankrolled club. I've said for a fair old while that I think this.

    - London-based club
    - Iconic 'new' stadium with large capacity - (the fact that it's the Olympic Stadium helps too)
    - European football
    - Strong squad
    - Popular and successful manager*
    - Large fan base
    - Plenty of history

    * - at the moment

If I was a billionaire looking for a club to buy and try to challenge for the top honours with, it'd be West Ham without a doubt at the moment.

Apparently there's a Qatari who's been circling the market for quite a while now...

Those two only ever bought that club to make some big bucks. Clear from day one and that's why they gambled taking on all that debt. Nearly ballsed up when they went down.

In a sport where morals long since sailed. I feel a lot more comfortable with our current owner and she is not doing a bad job.

Didn't know you'd borrowed my drum. :) We are absolutely fine with Katharina. I want Saints to win the League and lots of cups, but don't want us to sell our soul to do it. In the mysterious ways of the Universe, the right owners found us and discovered a love of football that they didn't know they had.

I wonder if they found their love of football because of the type of club that Saints is.

When the deal was shown to him, Markus decided that as a family club we suited him. He never took to the aggressive side of the game and even said the players must not argue with the ref because he didn't like to see it.

There's always the financial side, but no one buys a football club with any certainty they would make money. I think the idea just interested him.

Tbh if West Ham get bought out. The best thing would be no more Brady (hopefully).

I think that's what feels so good about the club at the moment.

We all know that(on paper at least) the Liebherr estate has made a handsome profit from the club, but for Markus and now Katharina it's become more than a business and i'd like to think its helped Katharina with the grieving process.
In my romantic head, Markus saved us and to a certain degree we've helped his family through a difficult time.

The romantic side of me would like to think that when the Saints crowd sang...

We f***ing hate you, we f***ing hate yooooooo ooou
Dejan Lovren, we f***ing hate you.

that Katharina clenched her fist and grinned at his displeasure. The little mercenary s**t.

No, when the crowd are vulgar, Ralph puts his hands over Katharina's ears.

Just as long as Dejan heard it, the rest i'm afraid is collateral damage,.

The emotion of the situation (as Klopp called it) got Lovren subbed....so for once, name calling got the desired effect....so often it just fires up the targeted player. Is it right that the fans have eased off on Lallana a bit....I've moved on myself...the sight of his face no longer makes me vomit as I'm happy enough without him. And he has agreed to play in SKD's testimonial.
