Here's Iain Moodys Email adress if you want it. iain.moody@watfordfc .com I joined him on LinkedIn about a month ago. If we all send him emails maybe he won't go to Cardiff.
The Wobby report says he has already left. If he wants to go, let him go... No doubt Malky has offered him a lot more money and sure any oe f us would do the same in the situation! Just disappointed Malky has to keep coming back to take our staff! Bas, GT and SD must all be thinking 'who next...?'
Err hello, there are a number of problems here. Moody left the club yesterday - GONE, I'm not sure what a campaign to a defunct email address might achieve? Moody is an employee - if he gets a better job offer then isn't he entitled to consider it. I'm sure you're a well meaning person, but so naïve its untrue. I only hope you are about 12 years old, so that I can put this request down as "misguided loyalty"! I wish you the best of luck in your recovery.
No need to be so derogatory Elixir ! Probably just annoyed as everyone else is about MM swiping our staff! If I missed you before Welcome to the board Lloydinio
No need to be so condescending Elixir... Just another person frustrated by another head being turned by the Welsh pounds!! But then I guess it was Bas' fault again....
I will hang my bare arse out of my window if i see a positive unoffensive post from Elixir in the next ten years. Is it me or is he turning into Gary.
No chris, no way near that bad and a whole lot more intelligent ! Just a fellow whose glass is half empty as opposed to half full! Elixir does put in some excellent and thought provoking comments ! oh You can keep your arse away from the window mate! health and safety regs
Chris - LOL, you obviously haven't read enough of my posts!!! I certainly don't want to see any bare Rs! How do you want me to answer a post which suggests lobbying a defunct email address to say "please stay" ..... of all the silly ideas, this one has taken the biscuit! As I said Iain Moody was "an employee" of Watford Football Club, if he has received a better offer of employment, who is going to stand in his way????? The man Bazini maybe a good man to work for, or on the other hand ..... my friend says he is not - I believe my friend its as simple as that, and he has a pretty good business record. You may, or may not, know I have been going to the pre-season friendlies and in general I think Sean Dyche has been making progress, but I feel he is fighting against increasing odds off the field. A few weeks ago there was some optimism that Dyche would be able to replace departed players as Mr Baz seemed to be saying there was money available ....... however it would take someone of great ability to put a positive "spin" on suggestions of signing Gavin Mahon and Tom James at this stage of pre-season. Glass half full or half empty ...... it doesn't really matter. After more than 30 years of supporting Watford I have an idea where we are on the rollercoaster, and right now its a testing time - how can I possibly say anything else?
Elixir - a few weeks ago we hadn't signed Yeates (as a replacement for Buckley/Cowie - I would suggest a much more useful player than 'Will he turn up today Buckley'?) and Forsyth, another potential Buckley who is also a more than okay left back cover, Iwelumo as a striker (he might not be Danny but he's certainly worth double figures in goals this season) or Prince Buaben (not a new Cowie I admit on current evidence, but there were a few clubs interested and Stevie McGinn took a while before we saw his attributes) or Mirfin, who on Tuesday's showing, is a very capable no-nonsence centre back (I saw Tiny/Mirfin as potentially our very own Adams/Bould axis). We also have Whichelow/Thomson/Massey/Murray/Mingoia/Hoban with champ experience to add to all the youngsters who made the step up last year. To my mind even without another signing we start the season with a stronger squad than last year and we have a useful chunk of cash to keep the wolves from the door. Another striker, a left back plus TJ as competition, we look a useful outfit with depth in most areas. We are not going to sign Mahon except on terms so favourable to us that Gav could not live with them. I'm sure Dyche giving him a run out was a favour to put him in the window. (Could be proved wrong!) What is the problem with trialling a lad we've just found out about? Should we just pass, saying, nooo, too close to the start of the season, we'll have a look next year? Lets get the nooses out when we've no points from our first 6 games. Until then, can we please not come out with wildly speculative negative pronouncements which the more easily led will construe as informed facts, and repeat until they become FACT.
Well if he got loads, i'm saying over 1000 he might stay. I've posted it on the WO comments for the four newest articles.
Watford have lost another member of staff to Malky Mackay’s Cardiff City, the Watford Observer understands. We understand head of football operations Iain Moody has left the Hornets and is set to head up the Bluebirds’ recruitment department. He is set to - he hasn't left yet! It's not on the official site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok this board is a place for opinions, and I try and help by also providing some facts. On Tuesday evening I saw Gavin Mahon at Brentford, after checking I reported this fact. At first I was derided, but then congratulated. I also reported the fact that Iain Moody had left his employment at the club. Then I see this thread imploring people to "stop" this employee from leaving, and comment that I believed it was a) too late and b) a waste of effort. On Wednesday I find information about Tom James - the fact is he has been playing for Stratford Town in the Midland Alliance league (non league Step 5, 9th level football). I then suggest that for him to be a success at Watford he would need to rise 7 levels, and that this would be a major test. All this stuff is hardly "wildly speculative", in my view all 3 pieces of news were researched and checked to be true before printing. If only all journalists did as much research - for your information I am an accountant and have followed Watford for over 30 years, so I have nothing to gain by “being negative”. I post what I believe to be truthful opinions – if any of my facts are untrue, I would welcome any criticism. It is true a friend of mine has had prior business dealings with Mr Bazini and he doesn't rate him and wouldn't deal with him again. I have used this knowledge in forming my opinion of him, and then you absorb the information about him being an ex-bankrupt car wash owner. Frankly I don't think he is the kind of character I want to run our club. Onto the field of play, I understand your opinion that the squad Sean Dyche is forming is stronger than last year's. I'm OK with that opinion, frankly I think last year's squad was stronger, but that is my opinion. Very simply, don't criticise me for representing facts as facts, they may be bad news but a fact is just that.
Ok, Iain Moody left his employment at Watford FC on Tuesday, since then he has been on "gardening leave", before taking up a post at Cardiff. I believe a mixture of sources, the Watford FC Official site is not near the top of my list. But have you tried to contact the football club? If you manage to contact Iain Moody and find my information is incorrect I will make a substantial payment to charity. There is your challenge!
