I suppose by then he thought the match was won and thought it could do no harm, but Jeez Louise! I hope he knows never to do that again! <doh>

The big plus as far as Saints fans are concerned is that you have replaced Rodgers with Klopp. I have just read Klopp's comments in the post-match interview and he was gracious in defeat. It is a pleasant change to have a manager who is honest and not looking at matches through blinkers. Rodger's comments always seemed to be gauged to rile Saints fans with his remark about having no sympathy for us when you raided our club ensuring that he will be guaranteed a warm reception whenever he rocks up at St Mary's again.

It is funny how the relations towards opposition has changed over the years. As a nipper, everyone always wanted English teams to perform well in Europe and that include Liverpool as well as Forest who, back in the late 70's, were probably everyone's second favourite team. Klopp seems to be out to make friends with the supporters of other teams and it is a nice contrast to the likes of Ferguson and Wenger. At least Mourinho had comedy value whenever he threw his rattle out of the pram.

So the only bets you're prepared to take are another team achieves their goal or doesn't, and presumably with even odds too as well as ignoring the conditions I put forward

    Dead brave

I thought you had an amazing away record and most of your remaining games are away. Oh well...

    Keep digging love

A piece of piss and I'd gladly back us, turned rapidly into a huge swerve when called out on it.

You know fine well you've got no realistic chance hence the reason you've bottled the bet.

Nope you've embarrassed yourself by not being able to read

You keep selectively quoting whereas I'm happy to quote myself over it

On the other hand your amazing away form suddenly became not good enough to go up against us

Ok. So barring a coach load of injuries and Klopp picking Skrtel, you'll gladly back the RS for 4th

I'll accept the caveat of you not trusting your managers team selections and void the bet if he picks him to start.

    What's your excuse now then?

We are a good team when on the front foot but once teams start putting pressure on us we do tend to crumble and panic at the back. There is a lack of composure, and quality, in our defence which costs us valuable points.

I think the two main things that changed the game in your favour was when Wanyama came on you started stronger and won the penalty. You were stifled for about 10 minutes after the penalty miss until you scored the first goal. Then our legs started going after about 70/75 minutes due to our hectic season calendar, our game on Thursday and the fact that the players haven't been conditioned to play Klopp's running football in pre season yet as he wasn't here. A tired team outnumbered in midfield with a shaky defence was never going to end well for us, but to be fair you took your goals well and deserved the win overall.

A "coach load" of injuries would be the entire squad. I said "major".

Ok barring some serious injuries to key players and you not trusting the managers judgement, you'll put your money down then?

Why wouldn't Astro trust Klopp's judgement mate I thought he back tracked on his opinion he was Martinez's twin #****?

I thought Klopp was now the bestest ever as he's now employed by Liverpool?

Make your mind up Astro lol<laugh>

He thinks they're good for 4th but only if Klopp makes the team selections Astro chooses.

He obviously thinks the man doesn't know his job.

What a caveat eh...we'll finish 4th - piece of piss, but I don't trust the manager to pick the right side, so I'm going to bottle the bet.

Firmino is already on the injury list (taken from physio room). How about major injuries means no more than 2 of the following are on the list at the same time: Firmino, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge, Benteke, Milner, Sakho, Mignolet

And we can clarify the Skrtel clause to mean playing no more than 15 minutes in a game since he might try to protect a bit of value by allowing him some injury time appearances or something.

Then I'd take the bet. £20, for charity since I'm not sending you personal details. Also I'd want to change top 4 to "get CL" to cover the case of us deliberately sacking off the league if we do well in the EL.

Why would I back us to get 4th if we've already decided to stop chasing it because we're favourites to win the EL instead?
