Well it was canny big & took a bit of shoving out but I feel much better for it. Made room for my supper.
I know some West Ham fans who's biggest criticism of Mr Allardyce was that he was far too happy to protect a one goal lead rather than kill a game off. That's what they appeared to me to be doing in the second half today. At half time I thought that game was for the taking but we didn't go for the jugular. Sam's post-match email says one goal should be enough to win games but that's clearly not the case, is it? He's made a massive difference in the time he's been here but I really hope if we're in the same position at half time again this season that he adopts a different approach to today.
Second game in a row we give away 2 points dropping deep. Dropping off from 65minutes when we always looked a threat was suicide, I have no idea why we did that we should have went for the kill. That said, them up the road pressed hard when we did and although a draw isn't much help, I'd probably have taken it pre kick off and it was probably fair. Half time was a hoot mind, bouncing haha. They look a ****ing awful side, my only real gripe is I ain't sure how Ginger bollocks didn't get 2 yellows I counted about 312, he's a poor, poor player that lad at this level. Onwards. Norwich away is a beast of a game now.
If Palace get dragged in to it they will **** their pants. Us & the dog ****ing horse punchers already know we are screwed.
Take the positives and move on. Yes, it's frustrating we didn't get the win but it's a point away from home. Again for about 80 minutes we looked relatively comfortable and in control. Just need to close out games better. Don't know why people are saying Big Sam at fault for sitting back when he was asking they same questions of his team after the match. We played well but just didn't get the three points like what happened at Southampton as well. Five games at home now with our fate in our own hands. It will go to the wire but we have a good team now.....we will be fine...
His substitutions are strange to say the least, unless it was for injury, as in the case of Kaboul, Khasri and Big Jan all were playing well, none of the substitutions improved us at all. Afraid Big Sam and the right back cost us dear to-day. Nil Desperandum, onwards and upwards.
What's to cry about? It's you lot who can't beat us. 9 without a win, 16-4 on aggregate since you last had a win. Away point much appreciated, Ta for the 4 points this season. Idiot
And that doesn't count the friendlies we let them have against our reserves to build their averages up.
Bit of mixed feelings with this one. It`s a point away from home. Feels like 2 points dropped but it`s purely psychological because we scored first. If they scored first and we equalised it would have felt like a point gained. They`re still below us and we still have the game in hand over Norwich so it could have been a lot worse. Still disappointed we couldn`t hang on though.
