But there were probably many fans other than plastics are not happy and most of the booing was coming from the east. They pay their money they have the right to boo if that is what they feel, as I said I don't but I can certainly understand why they would after the absolute rubbish they had been served up by half time. What makes you think that those who would by those tickets would voice their opinions in any other way. With regard to no wonder why we play better away, Have you not seen any Villa Newcastle or sunderland games this year. I sure I haven't heard any booing there either.
Both of those sides albeit 10 points behind are by no way down and we are by no means safe. I am sure we will scrape a win from somewhere, though where I am not sure, but I am sure Guidolin will experiment with 9 at the back and 1 up front at some point before the end of the season. I am by the way not serious.
I remember Sousa only to well , forced Britton out of Swansea imo ... Britton has the last laugh though . Sousa ...our best season to date at the time in the Championship .....we scored 40 goals in 46 games if I remember correctly ...I supported Swansea since League 1
Regarding the booing, am I the only one that thinks the booing was directed at Guido and his bullshit tactics/gameplan?
Roof not taking the piss, but I just thought you were a Welshman away and had always supported the Swans, what made you support them mate.
Sunderland need to make up 11 points , Newcastle 12 points to catch us with 8 remaining ...I'm afraid both have there eye on Norwich .Averaging 1.5 points a game is hard enough , making it up is another story . 3 wins from our last 4 games , one could only imagine the bitching if it didn't go so well . And regardless of money payed , when a fan boos his team at home during a relegation battle , he's a sh:t fan ...no exceptions
Mate it may well have been that, but also it probably did have something to do with the first half performance, rightly or wrongly. What disappointed me more than the first half **** we were served up was as soon as we got the goal and were completely in the ascendency, we decided to go back to our 18 yard line and invite them on to us and be negative. if we had continued to go for them I think we could well have scored a couple more, but the result justifies his negativity I suppose.
I can see us getting at least 6 points from the remaining games which will give us 42 points which I forecast months ago. Got to remain calm in a crisis.
Was tired of the big teams ( mine included at the time ) ruining football ...liked the way Swansea ran their team and joined in ...glad I did . So enjoyable .If I was born in Britain I'd be supporting the team I was born around ... I'd have no life , be an away fan spending everything following the team around . I'm of Irish heritage
We are safe when the points make us safe, who would have said Leicester would have had the run they did last year and Wigan for about 3 consecutive years. The chances are we will survive but as it stands we are not safe.
Can I ask where you think we will get those 6 points. I can see maybe a point away at Newcastle and then I struggle to see where else we will get anything, maybe as ridiculous as it sounds something at home against Chelsea.
Stoke 1pt Newcastle 1pt Liverpooll 3pts Man City 1pt 6pts I think we can get draws away to Stoke and Newcastle. I can see us beating an inconsistent Liverpool and the season will be over for Man City one way or the other by the time we play them.
Sometimes when a season is over for a team they get better as no pressure. I love the optimism, if we get 6 points before the end of the season I will be impressed.
Everyone has a voice Stump, it's what makes a forum. But you are not using yours wisely. Again. You don't have the right to tell Matt he's not "part of the crowd" and just a "member of the audience". You simply don't. But I see it didn't take you long to revert to type following your generally easy-going demeanour recently. Shame, because I liked the reformed Stumpy, but I gathered you'd been on the pop. Oh well, I'll still sleep tonight. Sounds like you will too.
Plastics......hmph. A fan is a fan in my book. Doesn't matter where they are in the world. Being a fan is an emotional connection, nothing to do with season tickets etc. It's a bullshit "I'm a better fan than you" one-upmanship term that some fans use to make themselves seem more worthy and self important. A performance like yesterday hurts whether you were at the stadium, listening on the radio or unable to access the match until MOTD came on the TV.
Agreed. The difference is the plastics won't be at the stadium, listening on the radio or staying up late to watch MOTD if we get relegated.
Playing like we are we may, if lucky and we're on a lucky streak to be sure, pick up the odd point from hanging on in desperation. If we do any more I'll also be mightily impressed and give credit where it's due.
And that is the point, I cant believe there is one fan plastic or not who is happy with the rubbish we are being given at the moment. but I suppose as it stands ultimately the results are the most important thing, but next season it doesn't have to be that way. I can remember walking away from Stamford bridge in August thinking how good this season could be. How wrong was I?
