    Saints this season:

3-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - from a goal down
4-0 win against Arsenal at St. Mary's - Cuco's wonder goal
1-0 win against United at Old Trafford - Austin's debut goal
3-2 win against Liverpool at St. Mary's - from two goals down with 26 minutes to go

And yet we've lost to Norwich and drawn with Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa.

    Never change, Saints. :)

Just back from the game, brilliant win.

Had an inbred family nearby who barraged **** at Pelle and Long the whole game.

Davis needs to learn how to pass, many times he gave it away.

Mane and Vic changed the game. Pelle stopped the flicks in the second half and was superb.

Great changes from Ron again. Didn't think I'd see three great left footed goals from Pelle and Mane when I woke up today.

Really been liking Romeu and Clasie recently with their smooth all-round play in the type of games where perhaps Vic can become a bit anonymous or out of rhythm with the game, but he showed today the kind of dominance he can assert in high tempo midfield clashes against quality opposition. Clasie buzzed around as he usually does and pressed the ball but with how quickly and neatly Liverpool play it was a bit too easy to play around or through him and that's where the wrecking ball is required rather than the chisel. Liverpool's defence is always vulnerable you just have to break their midfield and their tempo and there's few better to do that than a fresh, fully rested Wanyama looking to prove a point.

Next time we play Liverpool though I'll be asking for heads to roll if the previous weeks training isn't entirely consisting of watching Sturridge limply poke balls towards goal with his right foot whilst Sammy Lee angrily shouts "YOU SEE?! DO YOU SEE?!". I would also say mix in some Coutinho long range stunners when he's given room on the edge of the box but that's probably too cruel.

On Sky, Ron said he had never left his technical area before in his life, but he just ran to celebrate with the team. As he said, this is what football is about.

    Spurs 2-0 up. United 1-0 up. :(

This weekend has been a hat-trick of comebacks.

Eng vs SA in the cricket on Fri.

Then our rugby boys complete the Grand Slam after such a shocking rugby world cup.

And then Saints gazump 'pool after giving them a two-goal head start.

Pretty good as far as weekends go.

Well at halftime I would have taken Pelle off and probably not brought on Wanyama as I didn't him see as someone who can win you a game.

Thankfully, I have nothing to do with Saints management. Pelle went from awful to excellent in the blink of an eye and Wanyama was inspired. We still couldn't manage a 10 yard pass between us but somehow that didn't matter.

Oh, and just to prove how useless I am, after Mane's penalty miss I confidently predicted that he would never score for us again.

Fair play to Klopp by the way. He properly embraced all our coaching staff and stayed behind to thank the Liverpool supporters.

One of the strangest games I have ever witnessed.
Our inability to pass the ball accurately for so much of the game was so, so frustrating, so to end up with 3 points is just weird.
My first instinct, for the Long/Lovren incident was that it wasn't a penalty, with Long concentrating more on initiating a contact than he was in scoring or squaring to Pelle, but I gather from what I have read that it was indeed a penalty.
Look forward to seeing it on MOTD2, later.
Can't comment on the penalty awarded, (too far away and wrong angle) but echo what someone else has said - was it not a goal scoring chance, so should it have been a red card?
