****er bet alert Ffos Las 5.15 Anything may happen here. But that is not by selection. 1 point each Western Wave, Tommy Rapper, Eamon An Cnoic, Savoy Court
One that caught my eye in that bumper Ron, and I'm surprised Stick hasn't put him up - Anthony Honeyball's Network gelding Le Coeur Net. He was really thrown in at the deep end on debut, a hot listed event at Cheltenham where he was ridden by Geraghty and well fancied. Ultimately he finished a respectable 5th on heavy ground that day and I would expect him to come on plenty for that. Bit of money for him too, 7/1 still available and certainly a decent e/w bet to nothing.
Yea. Very tricky race Oddy. Could have picked a dozen but, as I needed the Skelton one in there alongside Western Wave, had to keep the numbers down
Hard to believe the flat is back already with the first Irish race starting at the Curragh today.Dermot Weld and Tommy Stack always start the Irish flat season well so I'll be keeping an eye out for any of their runners over the next few weeks. One I do like today is The Moore Factor in the second race at 11/4.Mr Weld bought this lad from Martin Hasset after a decent run in the Galway festivel and should have him spot in for this.In the Lincolnshire Ashraf looks nicely weighted and has c&d form after winning a maiden here at the same meeting last year.Smullen just said he's happy with the draw and he should go close at 5s.With such a big field field I'll be having a saver on Cailin Mor who looks dangerous based on the form at the close of last season and has his favoured ground conditions.
BARAKA DE THAIX just this one for me - Gone a bit Cheltmental and halved my stake to treble him up with LIMINI in the Mares and YORKHILL in the Arkle Seriously considering doing this throughout the year - I don't bet huge amounts so if it doesn't pan out, no harm done. Good luck all!!
Had a look into the newcomers maiden at curragh, not one to get too heavily involved in but a few interesting ones in it. The one that i like most is Tawaleef, purely based on Prendergasts record in the race, his horses always seem to run well in it, a few winners and places in recent years. I'll take a chance on this one, hoping prendergast keeps up his good record
