I think they're the only 2 we have that can play in a 2 man midfield. Should be good hopefully. And as disgusted as I am, I'd sooner have Flanno captain that Henderson.
Happy to see Allen and Can starting. By far our better two midfielders this season and should have been starting together a long time ago given the form (lack of) of Milner and Henderson. Also happy to see Flanagan as captain. Yeah, he's not the best player in the team, but he certainly has the most heart and will make sure those around him fight like he does. Isn't that what a captain is supposed to do? Carragher was a better captain than Gerrard imo, and it wasn't because he was a better player, it's because he demanded 100% from every player on the pitch with him. Lets see how he does; can't be worse than what we've had so far!
Maybe in Germany being Captain isn't seen as a big deal? Anyway this isn't cricket where a captain is needed.
9th captain of the season. Not a bad thing IMO with Klopp looking to see who's capable of leading the team. I would expect that next season he'll stick with his chosen captain and vice captain.
We look much more composed on the ball with Allen and Can, not tracking runners may cost us at some point, though.
To be honest in makes almost no difference who is captain. More an honour than a job. A nod from the manager to a player.
Reminds me of the bit in Lord of the Rings when the Orc says "The Age of Men is over. The time of the Orc has come". Not saying Flanno looks like an Orc or anything but...
