Cue Card was travelling all over him here, look at the pair jumping the 4th last together, yet Don Cossack still won easily. Don Cossack is a deceptive traveller, he never looks to be travelling well, but he actually has a lot left in the tank. Most of his best wins have looked that way, the race at Punchestown was the same to. First off the bridle but went flying past Djakadam and Road To Riches.
Pretty much everything you're saying in this is wrong but i see you're getting a hammering on the other thread about the same subject so i'll leave it alone.
How can the person who's been right for nearly a full year on what horses would figure and which horse would win the Gold Cup be taking a hammering? I remember you doubting his deserved high rating and my opinion that he was a certainty for next years Gold Cup if he got there safe and well, after the Punchestown race. Now your saying everything I say is wrong, about the very same horse, the same horse you've been wrong all along about. Talking of hammerings, what was it you said about people who only bet fivers? Maybe you should also only bet fivers, it would save you a lot of money in the long run. You'd probably be off Mr Ladbrokes Chrismas Card list though
You've taken my note about fiver ante post bets out of context now haven't you old boy? I couldn't care less what people have on a bet. My point was taken out of context by Oddy in his response. I had buttons on the Gold Cup and actually said Don Cossack was a certainty on that ground before the race. Maybe you should read the dt before spouting this nonsense. I certainly did not say everything you say is wrong but i did say everything you've said in the last response to me was wrong. Seems like you're pretty hard work though so i'll leave it as it is. Well done on picking the highest rated horse in training at a win only price. Top stuff.
I only had three strong opinions about the race on the whole thread. Don Poli was a horrible bet. (tick) Djakadam was the each way value at a double figure price (tick) and Vautour would make the running but he didn't run.
You might have changed your tune later in the year, but you questioned his ability after Punchestown when he won. Saying he didn't deserve his top rating. When I said he would win the following years Gold Cup he was a 12/1 shot I believe, and I tipped him up in all his wins last season. Before he was the top rated chaser. I've known about this horses talents for along time
Shergs let it go mate you are the daddy. Btw just have a look at the ten to follow, almost everyone had the don
