I think Sturridge is holding back somewhat - still quality. Also, I think he may still be trying to adapt to being the 9 in a Klopp team. It's a different role to what he's played in the past. Sturridge maybe better suited as the wide man in the attacking trio behind the striker. But if Klopp plays a front two, we'll see a completely different Sturridge IMO.
I want to see a Studge and Origi partnership. I think it would work. Pace, acceleration, energy, work rate, finishing, skill, link up play, creative, etc
Sturridge has been pathetic of late. Effort comparable to Benteke and being greedier than ever. I'm not surprised Klopp has dragged him off first and early on most games.
He's playing like he doesn't trust his body imo Reminds me of Owen after his hammys kept pinging or Torres after the fsw broke him. I've now guaranteed he'll bag a hatrick today - thank me later
Totally agree. Especially the hat-trick bit. You see it so often with players that rely on their speed or agility. It takes them a long time to regain confidence in their body after a serious injury - if they ever do. Owen never got back to his best (so bad it's even made him a **** pundit). I've lost track of how Nando is doing. I don't like to see fans getting all over Sturridge at this stage- the cautious nature of his play is understandable, and I think it'll probably be the same until the end of the season at least.
Agree mate. Klopp should just keep playing him and see if can start forgetting about his injuries and play with genuine freedom again.
We won't catch City anyway so MU getting clobbered would be my favourite result. Try and get Europa again next year.
