The home kit looks like a pair of pyjamas I own. Not entirely sure how you can go wrong designing a plain white kit...
I'm also unimpressed with Stones and agree he's been reading his own press clippings when he should be practicing. Another player I still don't like is Barkley. Don't get me wrong. His stats are outstanding and it's fair to call him a rising young star who will probably reach impressive heights. But I always get the impression he wants to be a big star, whereas Alli always gives me the impression he wants to win. Everton have a collection of talented players instead of a team. It's good to see Rose get the recognition he deserves. Drinkwater also gets a much deserved call up. Dann should be there. Henderson may deserve his place but Lallana definitely doesn't, nor does Walcott. Also, those kits are horrible. As bad as the white is, the red reminds me of Captain Klutz's union suit. please log in to view this image
Rooney, Shaw, Wilshire, who bloody else? If Diaby was English, he'd pick him as well! We've some good young players but it'll be the same old failures again come the summer. No doubt we'll see Milner and Delph, as well and Andros for the last 15 or 20 minutes whilst we chase a lost cause. I shall claim my German or Irish ancestry for the duration to avoid having to take blood pressure tablets.
Ooh can't wait... another major tournament where Rooney fails to show up again, yet the media hail him as England's saviour
And in the Spanish squad, Diego Costa was left out and the evergreen Aduriz brought in. Two Athletic players in the Spanish National squad at long last. Surprisingly, no one from Sevilla which suggest they have a lot of players from other countries.
I would be amazed if Wilshere is anywhere near the England squad in the summer as firstly he is unfit and secondly at best he's a Championship player and to put it bluntly, a ****. As for Shaw, I would let him have a summer to recuperate. There is no point in rushing back injured players just for a tournament and as we have seen the likes of Rose and Bertrand are just as good.
I think if there is a lesson to be learned from this season it's how well the unheralded players of Leicester and Spurs have done compared to all the established stars at Chelsea, Man U and Man City. Rooney has done nothing IMO to merit being an England regular apart from getting a huge pay rise. Overall I am not a Hodgson knocker but like most England Managers before him he runs scared of dropping the 'stars' Compare that to Italy and Germany and then ask why?
Jack Wheelchair is a favorite of Hodgson but I cant see him being fit enough to make the squad, still, his other love child Henderson should be strolling around the England midfield like he thinks he is some kind of new Pirlo come the summer.
Is that the 'Pirlo' we're going to pay £20m for this summer? Today, I saw a Mouser say he'd form a good midfield for Spurs with Dier and Alli! Of course, Dembele would become Henderson's back-up!! Mousers
Again the international break has come at the wrong time for us. Leicester are gradually retreating further and further into their shell, we are on a roll. We play Pool next and they are looking tired and would probably would not risk going all out against us a few days before the Dortmund match. Now they will get a bit of rest. Internationals are an increasing irrelevance to me. It never used to be this way but I started losing my interest over the underperforming "golden generation", trying to play Gerrard and Lampard in the same team etc etc. Also very uninspired by our current manager - at least having undermined Harry for all that time the least they could have done is appoint him! I got really annoyed when the FA said they didn't want to mention Hodgson was in the running in case it undermined WBA!
