What's a major leap? Why would we respect someone who doesn't want to be here? Why would the players want to play for someone that wants out? Elmo clearly wants out and it shows whenever he plays, probably part of the reason he hasn't started much.
According to the Twittersphere, Remi Garde will be sacked in the next 48 hours. People are tweeting Alex Bruce, asking him if he's looking forward to playing for Villa.
Surely not? If Garde is going does that mean they're going to make a play to get Bruce there now? As you say, I can't see Bruce going before the end of the season, but it'd be weird to sack Garde now if not to try and get Bruce in to figure out what to do over the Summer early.
I could see Brucie going. This is not a happy club at the mo. If it was Villa whats he got to lose Really
Villa are effectively already down, so getting rid of Garde does not necessarily mean they'll be in a mad panic to appoint someone else, though it obviously makes it more likely.
I would have thought there'd be no motivation to sack Garde unless it was to bring in his replacement early to let them run the rule over the squad.
McDonald to take temporary charge until the end of the season if reports are accurate. Fingers crossed Brucey gets it! Then Sone can return to Brum where his family is, and no doubt Tom and Elmo would join the revolution. Out of all that I would only be sorry to see Tom go
Huddlestone, Bruce, Elmo, Aluko would all join him. Think a lot of the rest would be happy to be rid of him to be honest.. whether they're happy here without him is a different story though!
Lets hope Bruce is a bit more loyal than some of you ****s. The worst thing that could happen to this club is losing Steve Bruce, irrespective of what league we are in. I predict if Bruce were to leave be sacked, whoever the club appoint it will be wrong and he will need sacking within 10 games. A young thrusting manager, the Phil Parky, and we should appointed experience. Appoint an old head and we shoulda gone for a young thrusting manager. What next season will give us, if we stay in the Championship, is a chance to get rid of the deadwood we've been unable to shift. Hudd, Aluko, pains me to say Elmo. There'll be a full clearout and some transfers out. A reduced budget, scouting of potential good players from Div 1 and 2 and the use of the Youth set up.
He bought Meyler and Elmo from Sunderland, neither of which played regularly for him there. Nothing surprises me anymore!
That last paragraph is about all I agree with. I reckon we'll see a few young lads come through which is exciting, whatever else happens.
That's my speculation. As you'll find several others on here are also speculating about what might happen. You never got back to me on why me finding you comparing the Allams to the Assad regime racist was ironic because your people killed a lot of indigenous Australians 200 years ago.
There's zero loyalty in football, and the Allams have compounded that position with our club. If you are 'loyal' to Brucey I have no problem with that, and suspect if we fail to get promotion Brucey may likely have zero loyalty towards us if a better offer comes along. All hypothetical anyway, as I suspect if the Allams are still around, Brucey may decide to stay and take the option with zero pressure from above. Bruceys brand of football is dire, personally I've seen enough of it! So take your loyalty and shove it where the sun doesn't shine!
