It doesn't help when you go 2-0 up against West ham with 10 men and your manager brings on a forward does it?

Yes the league table doesn't lie but it isn't all about the squad is it....Chelsea? Leicester?

I like him because he's a winner mate

It won't happen like, I was merely making the point that we should be aiming high. There's plenty out there better than ****ing Martinez who'd take it, that's a certainty

So Baines, Stones and Jags aren't good players mate?

I did forget (or blanked out) the Howard factor tbf. But my point reminds valid

West Ham the other week was the ultimate. 12 minutes left 2-0 up and having played with 10 men since 30 mins in, he brings on another striker and we lose 3-2. Absolute ****wit.

Bobby Zamora was an England international. That means **** all in the grand scheme of things. Especially when the English national team are associated with failure.

Yes, you've dropped some points due to tactics, but your players have made mistakes at crucial moments e.g. Lukaku missing the pen which cost you just as much as what the manager is doing on the sidelines.

Not saying Martinez hasn't been mostly crap this season but to solely blame him for all of those results is pretty harsh especially when some of your players have been guilty of switching off or making basic errors at critical times in the game.

    Stones isn't.

  7. I didn't say that. I said being a England international doesn't necessarily mean the player is good.

Do you rate Hendo or Lallana?

Or if I put it another way; England are ****e lol

They're good players and you know it, stop being a donk.

Some of the mistakes have come due to us being stretched in situations where we should have just shut up shop. Our back line has way more talent than the goals against column would suggest. The blame for that lies with the manager and his tactics which leave us open and exposed.

    Now you're merely being obtuse.

They're good players - the end

  11. Good yes. But is good good enough?

I was blatantly taking the piss out of England rather than joining whatever argument it is you are having (I don't even know who you're arguing with)

Actually just taking the piss that you used England selection as a standard.

They are good players...but if your new investor is the real deal...welcome to having money, expecting more and being disappointed lol

I'm not saying they aren't good players. I'm just saying I don't see them as being as good as you think they are. I think you could be performing better defensively but I think I'd rate your back 4 at about 6th or 7th overall out of all the teams in the league, I'm not sure there's a great improvement to come from them with a new manager.

To be fair you would know as your not doing any better with a new manager and the same players let's hope Martinez is binned then so the new guy can fetch his own players in straight away:grin:

Our defence has actually somewhat improved.

Ah a table of the last 6 games no need to do any business this summer then<cheers>

On a serious note though look at the away table in there then? Yup we are 3rd in that form table with the same defence...Home tactics?

  19. Everton shouldn't be where they are, with the spine you have you should be higher.

We shouldn't be as high as we are. It's shocking that we've still got a (outside) chance of top four!
